WDW Photo of the Day Thread (Part 9)

Yet another hub-shot. This isn't in-season... after looking at it awhile I noticed something interesting that probably isn't a big mystery but it stood out. Anyone pick up on it?

Is it the redish paint on the black street of the hub?

The missing tree is the first thing I saw. Am I right? What'd I win???

An Old Soaker? No, wait...just finished the last one.

Yup. A tree is missing. Been like that for awhile and they haven't replaced it. I don't know if there's a reason for that, but as it is all the spokes (except for the one leading to the border between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland) have a relatively clear view of the hub-center (and the WD statue). The spoke to Adventureland isn't quite as clear but the trees are offset there.

I was trying to think of another explanation but I can't think of one other than the tree died

For anyone that's into trivia, here's what the area facing the Adventureland spoke looked like in the late 80s

Someone picked up on that awhile back. That's a detail you don't really see at ground-level unless you're looking for it.
