WDW Permits Part 3

They have plumbing and electrical for the pools at both Kidani and BLT. The second page mentions UV. Are they adding new colored lights to the pools? I would have geissed they'd have done that when they were installed.
It is more than likely a UV water treatment system. UV light is used to get rid of organic and inorganic chemicals, pathogens etc, without the addition of other chemicals.

Right! I was going to say it either meant Undervoltage or Ultraviolet. A UV filter is more likely, since it's a pool pump.
I was actually leaning toward Under-voltage at first as I had never heard of using a UV system on a pool before. I have seen the widely used on ponds with fish in them to keep algae at bay but never on a pool. Amazing what you can learn with a single Google search.

No matter what's going on, thanks for keeping up with it all. I'm sure it can be a daunting task sometimes.....

10/14/09 Update

I had missed a few permits filed in Osceola County, so I've updated October 7 and 9 to reflect those few permits. Mostly signage work at DWWS.

After 3-day weekend, 12 permits were filed on the 13th and one today. Some work at the ABC Commissary; some work at Typhoon Lagoon; refinishing of pools at Pop and SSR; more signage at DWWS; and roof replacement at the Vista Way Apartments.

Today, they commenced on some new gas piping at the Cast Cafe at AK.

These are very cool. The first one listed on 9/1 "Utilidor: Electrical Panel" is actually for the tunnels under Epcot. It's got a nice diagram of the tunnels. You can clearly see the "Innoventions" shape of the tunnels.

Yikes! You're right. Rookie's mistake :p

I must not have realized there were more pages when I did those first ones. I have updated the post to reflect this correction. Thanks for noticing!

Great find...

I love how on page 4, there is an entire page of ultra-specific coordinates...extremely detailed...and then it ends all the way at the end of the page with "...containing 3.118 acres, more or less..."

Yeah, that's a favorite CYA statement that surveyors use to account for errors in their survey, curvature of the earth, and rounding errors. :)

Im tryin to see the pirmits for POP century pools but I cant log on to find them. Does this mean that they are going to start ripping those two pools apart soon?

When you click the link it will take you to the disclaimer page. Just click ACKNOWLEDGE at the bottom and it will take you right to the PDF.

They're just re-finishing the lining of the pools. I'm guessing they're all tile and/or concrete, so it's probably a cleaning of the walls and bottom and maybe a fresh coat of paint.

They'll have to drain them down to do this, but probably won't be tearing them apart. I imagine they'll really only do one at a time. But since the same company is doing all of the pools, they just filed all of their permits at once.

10/16/09 Update

Busy day at WDW.

MK: Misc work at the Crystal Palace and Main Street Building MO5 (south east module).

DHS: Some odds and ends at a couple eateries, electrical work at the Backlot Tour's Water Tank, and some "truss, curtain and electrical" work at Soundstage 1. Hmmm.

Typhoon Lagoon is receiving misc carpentry, electrical, plumbing and roofing work. The notices weren't any more specific.

Other misc work at some resorts.

We'll actually be down there next week (19-23), but I'll still post updates to this thread....I just can't guarantee promptness.

WHat are the dates for Saratogas Pool work?

Well, these linked documents are actually called "Notice of Commencement" in Florida (as opposed to Building Permits in other states). This means that these documents are filed when Disney is planning to start the work, as opposed to asking for permission.

That means the refurb is probably starting now-ish, and will take a week or two - my guess.
