Expansion! MK is getting an expansion! Let the rumors begin! ;)

I wouldn't get too excited, it could also be the new "Panel 7B Experience!" (Brought to you by Siemens)

(Looking back EER is Electronics Equipment Room, which hopefully is more show related than a simple Electric Room would be.)

Ah yes, more of a ride/show control system room if the first E is Electronics.

Maybe a plus sing of Buzz if they need more room for servers? Just trying to think of a major attraction needing lots of computers.

Based on the way the permit is written, I think it's getting more specific from left to right.

1) MK - it's in the MK
2) EER - it's in the Electronics room located at the address to follow
3) P7B - Panel 7B in that room
4) EXP - Perhaps an expansion of just that panel
5) Located specifically at 2000 Tunnel Way, wherever that is.

There were a bunch of permits yesterday for the guard shacks at AK Lodge, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Carribean Beach, Port Orleanes and Old Key West. This might be related to the rumor that they are going to start charging for resort parking.

Anything specific? specs?

for resort parking if you are not staying at that resort. that is the gist of the new test

Im not 100%, but I think it may be the "road" that travels directly beneath Cindy's Castle and under Main Street.

If I'm right on that, it could have something to do with the Castle Stage.

Here is a comparison of the permit statistics between 2014 and 2015.

Total permits: 1294 (2014), 1235 (2015)

We had a big drop last year, and a that trend continued this year, although the drop was no where near as big.

Parks:

Magic Kingdom 156 (2015), 218(2014)
Epcot 140 (2015), 135 (2014)
Animal Kingdom 133 (2015), 138 (2014)
Disney Hollywood Studio 126 (2015), 106 (2014)

Magic Kingdom was way down which makes sense since a lot of big projects have wrapped up and attention has turned elsewhere. Despite the lack of major work at DHS, there was still an uptick in permits.

Top contractors:

Buena Vista Construction Company 213
Maddox Electric Co Inc 79
Faden Builders Inc 40
Ferran Services And Contracting Inc 39
Sign Producers Inc 38
Lo Temp Engineering Inc 32
Lake Buena Vista Fire Protection Inc 26
Veatic 25
Pcl Construction Services Inc 25
CEC General Contractors Inc 22

Can they be doing more "batch" type permits, or package permits, so that it takes fewer permits to complete a major project?

Large project almost always have single permits that cover most of the work. Disney Springs has been one of exceptions, it was handled with a lot of smaller permits.
If this is the case, and it makes sense, since there are so many small projects and owners, contractors, and leasees at Disney Springs vs a theme park expansion, then does the number of permits filed have any real relevance? Would it be more of an indication of maintenance expenditures rather than overall development and activity at the parks?

I guess what I am asking is... does the drop, or steady drop in permits over the last few years lead to any conclusions as to what it all means?
