WDW Permits 2013

Quick question: Has there been anything filed for drainage system improvements/water pumps in the area of the Osceola Pkwy. World Drive ramp? I suspect it would be filed by RCID, if they would file anything at all with Orange County. After a more recent drive by, there have been some hefty pipes installed, and looks like more are being prepped. Some more construction markings have popped up along the roadway as well.

I scanned through this year's permits but don't see anything. If they haven't actually started work then the Notice of Commencement might not have been filed yet.

RCID would only file if they were physically doing the work. I don't think RCID has any manpower, so they would contract that stuff out to a site utility contractor - who would then file permits and notices.

Right, they could be staging material, which you can do before you start any work.

Work is well underway. They started clearing the site back in February, maybe earlier, and now there are a few pretty decent sized pipes installed. It looks kind of like a pump station/lift forming, but its hard to tell exactly when you're buzzing by it.

You said Osceola Parkway, right? Could it be on the Osceola County side? If so, the NoC would be filed in Osceola County, which I don't think @danlb_2000 checks too often. I know I didn't, since there are only a few things on property that are in that county (ESPN and POP, primarily). Plus their site is much less friendly to deal with.

I thought it would be on the Orange County side...let me check...

Yep, it is on the Orange County side. 3/4 of that interchange are in Orange County, including the northbound World Drive ramp. According to the Property Appraiser map system, the plot of land this is happening on is RCID land, not "Disney" land.

If someone is doing work on "real property" that is not their own, they have to file a Notice of Commencement with the appropriate county. If there was no NoC files for this work, it either means the contractor failed to do so....or RCID actually is doing the work themselves (which I didn't think they did).

Couple interesting permits today:

Signage for Princess Fairytale Hall, guess this is getting close to completion:
Princess Fairytale Hall - PFTH Signage

Not sure what this one is. I don't know that address, but the Speedway is 1254 and the new Dumbo is 1262. It's not Goffini and it's no Mad Tea Party. The contractor is Barton Malow who is the general contractor on the rest of the Fantasyland Expansion.
1256 Magic Kingdom Dr - MK Fantasyland Expansion - Site Development

And the one everyone has been waiting for, Starbucks signs for the Bakery!
Main Street Bakery - Main Street Bakery Starbucks Graphics
