Bunch of Buena Vista Construction permits today for LMA at DHS, and Kali, Primeval, Kilamanjaro, KSR Safari, and Tree of Life. Anyone know what KSR Safari is?

uh... not to sound dumb but wHat's a BVCC or wHatever

Fixed your post.

BVCC is Buena Vista Construction Company - Disney's in-house construction company, which typically performs "magical" work that outside firms wouldn't do.

Tom, Something I have alwasy wondered about. My understanding of the Notice of Commencement is that it is mainly a tool for making sure a contractor get's paid on time. If that is the case why does Disney need them for thier own in-house work?

The way I remember reading the law, any worked performed on "real property" for a sum of money required a NoC to be filed with the county. And since Disney has BVCC setup as a separate company (even though it's held by TWDC), it technically needs to file NoC's. BVCC may employ subcontractors from time to time, and that's when Disney is at risk for having a lien filed (not that Disney wouldn't pay a subcontractor for work on its own property).

I imagine BVCC has to file for, and pay for, local permits through RCID too. This is just a guess, since I've never seen an RCID permit log.
