WDW Music CD

I'm looking for a CD with music from WDW attractions that I can listen to as background music while I'm at work.

Does anyone have any suggestions for good cds? I think instrumental might be best. I would prefer from Epcot, MK or MGM.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Just offhand, since you said instrumental, I thought of Mannheim Steamroller Meets the Mouse (I believe that's the name).

You probably already know that Disney releases CD's every year or so with select attraction recordings on there. Those would be available directly through Disney (at a premium, of course).

Hope that helps some. I'm sure other people know more.

Thanks for the info on the Steamroller. That CD looks cool.

I would love to have instrumental of Disney attractions as well. Any ideas?

www.Subsonicradio.com

Not just background music but whole attractions!!!!!!! Plus you can request songs. Only downside is you can't request more than 2 an hour.

That is of course if you have internet access and a computer with speakers...

I've had problems with Subsonic but it's still good stuff. You can also try www.sorcerer1.com and listen to their radio on there. They play music by parks and has practically anything and everything you can possibly hear while there, including songs from things of the past. I listen to them all the time at work and feel it's excellent background music!

I'm in the same situation, instrumentals are best at work. Here's a list of Cd's that i listen to at work and most are available through Amazon.com.

Beauty and the Beat, favorite Disney tunes in steelband style.
Heigh Ho Mozart, favorite Disney tunes in the style of classical composers.
Heigh Ho Banjo, Favorite Disney songs perfomed county/bluegrass style.
WDW Millennium Celebration.
Fantasmic!.
Disney's Instrumental Impressions, classic Disney love songs featuring guitar and orchestra.
Fantasia.
Fantasia 2000.

I have all of those cd's except Beauty and the Beat and Heigh Ho Banjo. I second that those are excellent choices! I frequently listen to all of those, especially for background music while studying. Another one that I might recommend is Magic in the Streets: WDW Parade Memories. It has the parade music from the three parades currently running in the parks as well as the suite of dreams (which is an instrumental suite based on all the parades from the 100 years celebration.)

By the way, is Beauty and the Beat any good? I almost ordered it, but decided to wait. I like islandy music and am looking forward to staying at CBR this November. I heard that they play some of the music from that cd at that resort.

I have two Disney instrumental CDs by David Huntsinger ...light jazz arrangements...Wish Upon A Star Volumes One and Two. These are the best Disney background music I own. I can rip a song from one of them tomorrow if you want so you can listen to it.

I also have Disney Instrumental Impressions....guitar and orchestra. Excellent CD for easy listening.

I bought these in the Marketplace several years ago at the Art of Disney...I use to make it a point to pick up a CD every year.

Thanks guys

I went to Sorcerer1.com and wasn't able to listen to the station because I didn't have the right software for my computer at work. I would download it but our IT guy has a strict policy on downloading anything and he always seems to know when someone does it.

I'm definitely going to get the Mannheim Steamroller CD from Amazon.

Tramp, I would love to hear a sample from that CD if you get a chance.

Heigh Ho Banjo sounds interesting. I'll check it out. Thanks everyone for your ideas. Keep them coming.

Here ya go!

Edit: Link Removed...

This is terrific background music...it doesn't step on the ambiance of your office or room. It's REALLY good for an evening of romance.

Here's one more just so you can get a better feel for the jazz side of these CDs.

It's pretty good, but the song choices are limited, it could have used more variety. There are some real interesting interpretations of the songs. You can still tell the songs apart, not like Mannhiem Steamroller, where it may take a few minutes to figure out the song. If you like steel drums, then this is the cd for you.
