The sheriff welcomes you to his bandwagon.

Jumping on the bandwagons seems to always be what Disney park fans are good at. Like the "Bawww I haet Pixar and animated characters in the parks" or the "I hate Stitch just because marketing flanderized him into an annoying pest and replaced the ride whose best quality was Tim Curry in the preshow"

Makes me sick sometimes.

DHS is a half day park

It can be if you want it to be, or your are forced to be.:lookaroun:lol:
Emphasis on the last part.

I hate that "Half Day" is used as a derogatory term, I have ALOT more fun spending a casual afternoon in the parks, Walk Around, Have a snack, Shop, Ride the Rides because the lines have died down...alot more fun than a bum-rushed exhausting full day running around with the crowds.

Of course, Disney hates that because that means saving money by eating off-property...

:lookaroun

AND...it means SLEEPING IN! Go Half Day Parks!
:D

I was mocking the idea. I thought it was where the thread was going.

Better direction then the two-or-three page flamewar about the fact that there's people who actually like some of the more underappreciated Disney movies out there.
Heck, besides Robinsons, I like Atlantis and Dinosaur, and those get even more of a bad rap sometimes.

I thought Condorman was da bomb.

Hyperion is at Disneyland Paris. It is possible to take elements from a film, such as art direction or vehicles, and incorporate it into a park without being blatant.

Exactly, that's one of the things I love about Disneyland Paris, their acknowledgment of Disney live action films. The Hyperion (Island at the Top of the World) Harrington's (Pollyanna), The Nautilus (20,000 Leagues Under the Sea), The Emerald City (Return to Oz), Toad Hall (restaurant of the same name) and The Robinson's home (Swiss Family Robinson) are all represented. It doesn't matter how obscure the property is, as long as it adds to the surroundings of a land it's a good fit. You don't have to make Savage Sam: The Ride, but audio/visual touches can be done to recognize the vast catalog of titles Disney owns. Not everything has to be Princess related.

Tron for example would be a great fit for our Tomorrowland because of it's geometric/neon lit design blends in well with the current "Deco Tech" look, and like the rest of Tomorrowland Tron: Legacy is a modern interpretation of a past vision of science fiction. The fact that the franchise has some popularity already (or else Disney wouldn't be making this new film) and might gain more is only further support for the idea.

Finally, to Conundrum, must you put Treasure Planet next to Condorman and Watcher in the Woods? Do some internet searching and you'll be surprised how people both know of it's existence and like it. Heck there was a forum on Micechat recently where every other post said that it was among the most under-rated of Disney's films and that a teacher had shown it to her students in class and they loved it. It's a film that I always see begin brought up on multiple Disney/non Disney forums with affection and that's something I can't say I've seen for the other ones you've mentioned (or MTR...).

Just as you find communities for Treasure Planet (which took me two or three views to really like, I hated it in theaters. I still loathe BEN though. At least Carl in Robinsons is a robot buddy you don't want to have melted down into scrap), there's still some groups of fans for Robinsons. And every so often these days on some of said communities when someone says they've given it a shot, they're often pleasantly surprised it's not the LOL SO RANDOM crap pile the ads made it look like and some of those reviewers dismissed it as. Every Disney movie has their little niche-fandom.

Just to add some perspective...

Potter has made 627 mil in worldwide grosses.

So all this, "Z0mg! G-Force beat teh pants off Potter!" is pretty much only due to the good old USA again choosing the good movie to take their kids to.

Not in my case. With attractions wildly sparsed around, and different schedules for the shows, my only break would be at the Flame Tree BBQ or in line for a ride. Add that there's not that many indoor places to sit and sleep, sides (e.g.) Pizzafari or Restaurantosaurus...

Now for EPCOT, I somehow can do that. After doing everything, a bench can easily become your friend. Especially in Innoventions West.
