I agree. It was pretty beat.
It's nice to see a picture though. Sci Fi is so dark I could barely see what I was eating!

I have not. The first time we went, I think we split a sundae and just enjoyed the atmosphere.
This past trip we were on DDP so we had dessert for the first time. I had the chocolate peanut butter cake which was good. But not what I expected. The cake itself was a little dry. What saved it was the ice cream. It melted into the cake and made the whole thing tasty.
My wife had the carmel cheesecake. She's a big carmel fan but not a great lover of cheesecake. She liked it so much, I got nary a taste.
Next time, I'm trying the crumble. I looked up a picture and it looks delicious.
Tony's
That looks good - and the risotto seems to be just the right consistency!
Le Cellier's famous cheese soup. However I must admit I thought it was only ok.

I almost regret canceling my reservation at Tony's
Smoked St Louis Ribs
I thought the soup was kind of ho-hum at the restaurant too. But I made the recipe from these boards at home and I liked my version a lot better. I made some slight changes though, I used more beer, some of the bacon grease, more bacon, and a little bit of cayene pepper.
While the chocolate peanut butter cake was a bit of a let down, I was pleasantly surprised by the ribs. Not sensational, but good. Better than I had been lead to believe by a lot of reviews.
The freak is that...does not look good.....
See these were ALWAYS really good for me. And mainly the reason I defended this place. After the ribs in the photo you see...they were HORRIBLE. Along with EVERYTHING else. I explain it all in my food report if you care to read about it.
