a caramel cupcake at Epcot's Karamelle-Kuche in Germany. It was epic.

Key lime parfaits..I will be sure to keep that in mind when I'm down there.

I got one of those, since I am not a chocolate fan. The top part of the parfait had to be one of the most disgusting things I have ever had. It had the texture of what I would have imagine a jellyfish pureed in a food processor would have, a gelatinous goo. Highly disappointing.

I have a bunch of pics from Food & Wine 2010 that I'll put up over the next couple of days. Help me to pass the time and get excited for F&W 2011.

Greece: Spanakopita and Boutari Wine. Both of these were pretty great. In fact the Spanakopita was my wife's favorite dish from the festival. The wine was just a nice crisp white. Not too dry, not too sweet.

New Zealand:

Sea Scallop and Viru Pilsner. The Scallop was better then I anticipated, considering how many they were cooking for, and the fact that they were hardly being cooked in ideal situations. It had a nice texture, and a nice flavor, not over powering. The beer was excellent for its style. I would compare it to an A+ version of an american adjunct lager. Definitely a higher quality, but the same basic flavor profile.
