I scanned in this brochure and put it up on my personal web page here:

My mother dug it out of the attic last week.

Thanks for sharing. Loved it !

That was reallly neat!
As a photopass photographer I especially like the part where it practically gives you a "how to" guide in photographing the world.
Thanks for sharing!!

I liked how it said to avoid trash cans.....I sometimes angle and zoom so that I'm ONLY photographing the trash can

You know it's funny, I have this very same map (as well as quite a few others) in my Disney collection. Judging by the reactions to this one, I should scan some of the others and post them here.

Yes you must

There is a telling sign o' the times: on the shops page you can find a tobbaco shop where you can buy fine cigars, cigarettes, and pipes! How long ago did that one vanish?

The greatest thing about that map is the listing of rides by ticket values. I've got to keep that one so I can show people exactly what we mean when we talk about C-tickets and E-tickets.

Whoah, they actually outline the show building of the Haunted Mansion.... weird.......
The maps often did show full building outlines upto the early 80`s.

Anyone find it weird a 1974 map omits Caribbean Plaza and PotC - both of which began openening in December 1973?

Didn't CoP open in '73 also? It's also missing from the map.

Not quite - January 15th, 1975. Same day as it`s Mountain neighbour. Imagine!

For those interested, I`ll be covering the changes and expansion to Adland and FLand in my forthcoming Ultimate History vid.

Thanks for sharing that! That is one of the coolest things I have seen for awhile. I love seeing the old maps and brochures and all the old memorabilia! I am a collector, so it makes me smile to see that folks have saved these items! Very Nice indeed!:)

What a great piece of Disney history. I never really fully understood where the whole E-Ticket came from. I kinda figured that it was just a rating system on "how big" the ride was, but never knew how it evolved or where it came from.

I also never knew that you paid an admission than had to have tickets for each individual "attraction". So am i understanding this right that it was more like a carnival where you needed tickets for individual attraction and it was not just covered by a general admission price?
