WDW 2012 Fashion Critique For Men

I'm just really not sure why guys have such a problem with fashion.

You can go into any Banana Republic, A&F, Dillards, Macy's, etc...and they have mannequins dressed in complete outfits.

Even if you're completely clueless, have no friends and no significant other, the store has a lifesized outfit example standing right there.

Pick the look you like and you're good to go.

In keeping with RSoxGuys rules we will keep the women out of this BUT....that is a FALSE statement...
I freak out about it and I am somebody....

What I mean is that no one freaks out about the concept of women in teeny tiny suits. I know there are people who freak out about particular examples, i.e. the women wearing tiny suits but not looking that great in them. What I meant is that it's accepted that women's bathing suits can leave them practically naked, but there is no such acceptance of speedos (at least in the US).

#9. The Outdated Shirt. So you went to Disney World in 1991, bought a t-shirt with the year emblazoned on the front, and you had a great time! The problem lies in the fact that you’ve dropped that puppy in the old Maytag one too many times. We’re all glad that you have a long history at Disney World. We just wish that you’d stop trying to prove it and splurge on a new shirt at The Emporium. Don’t forget the 6.5% sales tax.

New shirt? Ain't gonna happen!

That faded, holy EPCOT shirt from 1985 goes so well with my white cut off blue jean beach wear form 1975.
Not to mention my BF Goodrich sandals purchased in Quang Tri in 1968.

Far out!!o_O

Ah. Okay. Point taken.

Oy. I first noticed this trend of basketball crew socks making its comeback during my April trip. The trend seems to be in its infancy however I've seen it popping up locally with some high school and college students in both black and white yet black seems to be winning the color choice.

Reminds me of 10 years ago when the male college students started wearing plaid shorts and they are still with us. Oy.

I teach high school...the fashion rage this year was black Nike crew socks and Nike sandals (they had to be Nike for some reason). I don't get it either, but have become so immune to it that it doesn't bother me or second guess what they wear.

What makes me laugh and question people is when I see "teenage fashion" on "adults" (sorry, ladies....)

Weddings are a great place to view women reliving their youth. Yep, a womens thread is in order.

I agree. I don't particularly want to see a man ( no matter what his physique) in a Speedo but I certainly don't understand why it's frowned upon. It's puritanical to allow women to wear bikini bottoms and men have to wear knee length baggy shorts. I wouldn't feel comfortable personally but I bet they are much more practical. I mean you are in water, less clothing must make for a better experience (except for a possible wardrobe malfunction).

We need time for things to happen.
First of all thanks for the laugh.
I was just chuckling like a freaking fool at my desk.

Second I almost got off that list unscathed..unfortunately I got caught on number 5.
Although I don't mind showing off my sweet shoulder tat, it's all about comfort: Florida heat just means I like my pick up sticks to be free -
However I do make sure my arms are fully tanned and although I don't work out I keep my biceps toned lifting
12 ounces repetitivly during my trip, just so those sticks are only partially laughable.
You're welcome!

I agree with everything but the outdated shirt!! Who cares if the tshirt was even from the 70's--as long as it isn't completely trashed its ok--people buy a pair of jeans now a days with holes already in them for $100 and that's just insane and they call that fashion!!! Ya right

Everyone should dress more like they did in the early days of Disneyland and WDW.

I've been laughed at for wearing my Indiana Jones Mark VII satchel man purse. So maybe don't do that. Men, wear a traditional backpack.

Does this thread have any real purpose other than mocking other people? It reminds me of the recent story where the students were picking on the older lady who was the school bus monitor. The mods should lock this thread.

Sorry, but your post strikes me as being sillier than mine. You apparently have little use for satire, and I can respect that. However, to equate me with some type of mean spirited bully is just foolish and shortsighted. If I have offended your tender sensibilities, I apologize for not considering the fact that there might be some people here who do not possess the ability to place their feelings a little deeper into their skin. Perhaps you would be better off not entering this thread again.

It's not like you didn't identify the thread as in good humor at the start, as well as advise those who are easily offended to hit "back". You didn't post photos of wardrobe offenders or call anyone out specifically. To liken you to a bully is ridiculous.

Thanks for the laughs!!! Thankfully I'm not on the list :lookaround: *whistles and walks away*
