This is crazy. How many people from the boards are at WDW right now for Epcot's 30th and nobody has posted pics of the waterfalls. o_O Maybe they are not that impressive?

Honestly it's kinda hard to see them. Temper your expectations. But I'll get the best shots I can.

They have their moments. It's the obsession with Horizons that gives that impression sometimes. ;)

Oh, you mean the waterfalls?

I am just so happy there are going TO BE WATERFALLS in Fantasyland!

I remembered there being more water features in general at WDW, and then they all quietly disappeared.

This makes me happy. I am not even sure why.

I guess I just love Theme Park water! :D

Do you have any idea how hard it is to find water in Florida!!!!

That was pretty cool, it was set to 3D when I played it and I had a pair of 3D glassess. Then I saw you can turn off the 3D

I didn't see waterfalls at Beast's castle only LM. Did someone really see the water on at Beast's Castle? I thought the water feature for Beast's Castle flowed into some of the areas of the Mine Ride and I thought it would still be a very long time before these would be turned on.

I looked at Scott's most recent pictures again and it would appear if they turned the waterfalls on at Beast's Castle that it would flood the construction zone of the mine train. Unless they build a temporary dam under the last bridge, I doubt the water at Beast's Castle was ever turned on.

I would have to assume that they are basically "testing" them for now and they'll probably turn off and on and off sporatically until the opening. I mean, what's the point otherwise right? LOL!

The waterfall near Beast's castle had running water one of the days I was there last week. I believe it was Monday morning, 9/24. There was no water running there on Friday, though.

I just want to know, where did the water go? There would have to be a drain and a pump to recirculate the water and the area where that appears that should happen is well inside the construction area of the Mine Train. I believe the posters but that means there is a temporally dam under the last bridge and a pump and drain system upstream from the waters final destination. I guess this means they were planning that they would not be done with the Mine Train for a long time and they wanted the waterfalls working regardless.

I would expect that the canal is terminated under the bridge and is not connected at all the what will be the water features for SDMT. It is just made to appear that they are connected.

If true I hope it is just temporary. It appears that there will be views from areas where a person can see under the bridge. I would hope that the end product has the water flowing through it as one continuous stream.

The falls must have been on for just a short time because I've been to the MK 6 of the last 8 days, and I didn't see them on once.

Wish I'd seen this in person. Looks great! Did get to see Enchanted Tales with Belle today. It was a neat experience but would have been far more magical with a youngster in tow. Since both my daughters are still a few years away from having kids of their own, does anyone have a wee one that my wife and I could borrow next time (lol)?!

I didn't think folks would get the Simpsons reference so I made it smrat instead of smrt!

Glad to see someone still picked up on it!!!

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing the other day in the aerial photo thread, then I saw that dam.

The waterfalls of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea were not turned off for as long as the ride was operational, so here's to the long health of the Little Mermaid and Beast's Castle waterfalls.

That was before the new TDO or Team Disney Obliterators as I call them came on board.
