I was talking to my grandma about my trip to florida and she asked me if it was all still the same. I told her horizons was gone and she said it used to be in New York city under a different name. I know there was a worlds fair but I doubt the worlds fair had horizons. If this is all true what was it and is there any pictures or video.

Perhaps your grandma is thinking of Carousel of Progress??

I'm guessing your Grandma is confusing Horizons with Carousel of Progress. Horizons was the sequel to Carousel.

"Carousel of Progress" was originally called "Progressland" when it was at the 64 world's fair in NY, however...Horizons was also based off of the General Motors futurama attractions. Futurama 1 was at the 39 NY world's fair and Futurama II was at the 64 NY world's fair. As far as any attraction being called "Horizons" at the 64 fair, I can't think of any.

Thank you :sohappy:. I am looking at it and it is very similar and is an outdated version. I see nothing fron horizons but I guess when you see 2 rides from the worlds fair and you go over 20 years without seeing the ride and having no video it can be easy to mix things up. One scene looks like the old scene before space scene in Spaceship Earth when Walter Cronkite was hosting the ride. I love how people just love to pick at you on this site LOL. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-5aK0H05jk. I am very surprised they have footage in color and that they got it on youtube.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
Maybe you should check his posts and then you might understand why the comments were made.
Okay, if you really want to play that game, then the word "galaxy" in your "Location" shouldn't be capitalized, and also "to" should be "too." I'm not even going to get started on your punctuation.

But is it themeparkpioner or themeparkpioneer?

It would be themeparkpioneer but I wasn't allowed to add any more digits. I could of made it themparkpioneer but that wouldn't work.

The 1939 New York World's Fair General Motors "Futurama" ride was part of the exhibit called "Highways and Horizons." The film promoting it was called "Toward New Horizons."

A few of my previous posts on the subject, for reference...

Correct, Expo seeker came in being realistic and told me all I needed to know LOL. It was like Horizons in reverse.
