News Walt Disney World to resume sales of Annual Passes (New sales resume April 20, 2023)

Maybe some of us can take a break - even one day - from the complaining so people coming here for news on the return of DVC annual passes can get in some discussion and information on the issue. I'm not a moderator and have no authority to limit discussion, it's just a plea.

I don’t see much complaining, mainly discussion on what this means and why the company is doing this now.

But I’m seeing $200 ish all over the place from New York, Philly to a ton of places

I have reservations at the Biltmore in early September for mid $200’s. Similar price points for another trip in Times Square at Christmas.

Well, yes, but I thought going forward, relating to the "No blackout" lawsuits, they would add blackouts to all levels to so there would never be a "No Blackout" AP.

I think that was mainly a clerical error that Disneylanders revolted on when they realized “the dream is over”

I am curious, do they make only the Incredipass for folks outside of Florida? All of the other passes are FL or DVC only, correct?

As a fan…and longtime financial supporter…I still do not like that it’s “limited time sales”

So it really it’s an annual pass any longer. It’s a limited time promotion you have no ability to allow lapse without potential consequences

You can get any wdw Hotel for 25% off after next week…and the discount improves in the summer

The news is pretty simple.

If you want one, you can buy it in the next few weeks for the states prices. They will halt sales again quickly.
The only real positive beyond that is it indicates lower attendance ahead.

Since everyone is independent and highly analytical when patronizing Disney products…that about does it.

The way it was explained to me is that DVC Sorcerer is a completely new pass type that they have separate levers for. If/when they pause sales again, direct DVC members will only have access to that pass (or not at all if things get really bad).

Technically the old Gold Florida and Gold DVC were separate pass types as well in the system, so that’s not terribly surprising.

Did they add online renewal yet + no longer require activation at guest relations? Wasn't sure if that happened yet, I know it was planned.

Important to note DLR version of the Incridipass has been for sale since the start of the year. Looks like the future doesn’t look so good for “unprecedented demand.”

It was pretty clear from the last earnings call that they were expecting lighter US demand moving forward.

Walt Disney World Announces Return of New Annual Pass Sales

Beginning April 20, new Walt Disney World Annual Pass sales of Disney Incredi-Pass, Disney Sorcerer Pass and Disney Pirate Pass will resume and can be purchased online.
