News Walt Disney World to resume complimentary parking at its resort hotels

I truly am happy for them to "reverse" a guest unfriendly thing. I hope other changes would also occur.

That said, personally, this is not something I particular care about or wanted since we never drive and always stay DVC anyway so the parking charges never impacted me. I'm actually afraid that they will replace the revenue they made from parking with something else that does impact my family.

Great! now let’s lower those overpriced room rates just looked at prices for a week in sept and POFQ is $300 a night. Pop was like $220. That’s gonna be a hard pass.

Wonder if this will cause Marriott to take a look at their parking fees now. That becomes a glaring difference suddenly.

They used Marriott and other area hotels having parking fees as the rationale behind introducing it in the first place. Something to the tune of (paraphrasing) "this change aligns our policies with that of other area accommodations." Lamest spin I've seen from PR in the last decade.

Good news all around, though as others have eluded to, policies have to change along with economic conditions.

You are taking the fun away from letting some of us try to figure out why they did this.
It’s a great move and helps many people, no one can disagree.. but the reason for it is up in the air still. Could they be reversing some very bad moves? Yes of course. Could this be just an easy way to say look what we are doing aren’t we listening to the guests? Also yes.
After the constant increase of everything, some of us prefer to not take it as a beginning of making things right. We hope so but a lot more needs to be done. Great start though and I appreciate it .. let’s see what comes next.
