This morning my wife's grandmother passed away from Covid. She was healthy til she got sick. Covid is a very serious thing and seeing so many not care to follow guidelines. Including traveling and visiting family angers me. Too many of you only look out for yourselves.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Once you start losing people you care about it makes it very hard to be understanding with those who don’t take this seriously. I lost 4 in the early days so I avoid saying what I want to say to those people. But there are days when it is very very tempting. Blessings to your family as you grieve

Thank you for the kind thoughts. Its been hard for her more then me. It really hits home on how serious Covid is. Too see so many not care is upsetting.

My condolences.

I’ve gotten the distinct impression from the start that people are insistent on doing what they want UNTIL it directly impacts them in close proximity.

Some kinda whacked out take on the Roman practice of decimation...only of “free will”??

I don’t...nor will ever...get it. It’s embarrassing.

WDW announced All Star Movies opening 3/22, Beach Club May 30, and Wl on 6/6
Makes sense. I do wonder if the push of All Star Movies back 6 weeks is more driven by the recent surge of cases that‘s making people hesitant or if it’s more people delaying until the Spring when it’s more likely they will have the vaccine. I am optimistic that there could be a post Memorial Day bump so BC and WL makes some sense and Poly comes back a month later. That still leaves around 8,000 hotel rooms with no opening date, almost 1/3 of Disney owned, non-DVC rooms. It’s possible they come online in the summer but more certain by the holidays next year.

Rock n Roller Coaster and Slinky Dog is now seating passengers every row, that should help with the line a bit. Single riders still get their own row but might be in same car as another group.

Seems like an odd move. What changed that allows them to remove a safety protocol now, or are they saying it wasn’t effective anyway? It seems pretty arbitrary to do that just to reduce lines. It’s not like the Covid situation is any different.

Absolutely nothing other than complaints and employee frustration.

Which means Its a terrible idea.

This is the slippery slope

Maybe WDW will adjust their safety protocols even though the COVID situation hasn’t changed. Maybe they’re not going to keep all current restrictions until the virus is completely under control. I wonder what restriction will be next?

More likely it was determined to be an overreach on safety and not necessary. Much like one way shopping aisles in stores, all my groceries have pulled up all their stickers etc. Like I mentioned with Tokyo Disney is doing today, we will probably see minor adjustments like this until summer.

An over reach and pointless like the middle seats on airplanes. There’s been a lot of Covid precautions that have been downright silly.

No. The idea is to keep what’s effective and eliminate the ones that are not. I assume the ones that are not would be in the category of overreach.
Ok. So who determined that seating every other row was not effective? (Same question applies to middle seats on airlines but that’s not really on topic for this thread).
