Because it's my escape from reality place. And each time we go, it's different from the last. Enjoyed it as a child, as a young adult, as a CM,as a married couple , and as a parent. This next visit I will enjoy it as a parent seeing his parents enjoy seeing their grandsons enjoy it.:xmas:

Walt Disney world rocks my socks because....
I can be with my family for three weeks and not fight with my sisters or be fed up of each others company

When I'm there I forget any troubles, worries or problems I have. It feels like I have left the normal world and entered the most magical place ever!

Walt Disney World is the best. Every other theme park is striving to live up to Disney's standards, but all fall short. The entire Disney experience is magical. It makes us feel like kids again, and it has everything — rides, characters, great food, outdoor activities, water parks, etc. What more could you ask for?

Next Trip: November 2009

It's even more special now with Western Way open. Everybody freaks out when we go over that overpass and see WDW in the distance. And the Western entrance makes it feel remote and that more magical.

But the main thing is the family tradition my parents created around DL & WDW. We have our family reunion every December with different family members. We have more kiddos about ready for their first trip. And I still enjoy seeing how excited my parents get, my Mom with Splash and my Dad with Jungle Cruise. :D

Disney rocks my socks because....

- My immediate family loves it so much and it's our special bond. We all go there together, talk about it constantly when we aren't there, and compare everything to Disney.

- THE FOOD!!! We plan our trips around where we eat..... :lookaroun

With stuff like American Idol and all the cutbacks, don't forget the real gem coming soon that's rockin' my socks: The Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure! I got to test out Mexico today, and I can now confirm to you what I've been saying this whole time: You are in for a REAL treat!
:sohappy:

With all this depression, I found great comfort in the outstanding quality of this experience! As I said elsewhere:

(And Jenn: You can now hear Bender's voice at EPCOT! John DiMaggio voices Dr. Drakken and he always does great voice work! :sohappy: )
This post TOTALLY adds to my own personal magic... :D

I know! I've watched Kim Possible and didn't even realize it. But Drakken Spazed at one point and we both instantly recognized that's the one-of-a-kind spazing only John DiMaggio can voice!

Best EPCOT celebrity voice cameo EVER!
:sohappy:

I've been going to Disney World most of my life. I have been more than 20 times and have always loved going but it wasn't until a trip I took a few years back that really really hooked me. Oddly enough I can't pinpoint an exact moment of that trip that might have been responsible for my sudden mesmirization (< I'm pretty sure that's a word). Nonetheless, I was hooked big time and have been enjoying myself immensely ever since planning and studying the history of WDW in between trips down. Another big thing for me is that no matter how many times you have been there is always going to be something that you haven't seen before. Whether it be something really in-your-face that you can't believe you never noticed or the tiny details that makes Disney so great.

...or the tiny details that makes Disney so great.

It is the details. Let's face it, there are a ton of amusement parks and theme parks around, but NONE go to the level of detail that WDW does. Each attraction completely immerses you in the story. Many so subtle that you don't notice.

Believe it or not, it's where my mother in law and I finally saw eye to eye. We've got a better understanding of each other and each other's personality.

It's a place where DH & I can "reset" ourselves and reconnect without the "every day grown up" pooh getting in the way.

It's one of the best feelings to share WDW with someone close to you who's never been before. It creates a special bond with those you choose to share it with..not to mention inside jokes lol. MIL, DH & I share a loathing for wildebeasts (one went to sleep in the road at Kilimanjaro and caused the lines to not move..so fastpass or no fastpass, we still waited FOREVER).

I love being able to get lost "in the now" and focus on DH (and whoever is there with us).

PS - Thank you to the OP for creating this post. All the negativity has really gotten to me and started to make me panic (Dec 31st Trip!!). We're taking first timers so if it were just us, no problem. We know what to expect. I'd hate to have them so excited and then to be let down.
