So I wrote up in Imagineering forum that Disney could convert the WDWRR into a Hogwarts Express type experience. Coincidence?
Seriously though, there would be many many benefits. Including making expansion easier for the MK without being limited by what guests might see from the RR.
It would increase the immersive quality of not just the attraction but the MK as whole.
It would save tons of money as the trees and theming used to hide backstage areas would not have to be maintained any longer to the same level.
Because Disney has its own animation department the passenger cars would not have to be divided but rather the animation could be presented as an entire panorama of the horizon instead of the chopped up way it is on Hogwarts which has the same visual playing on each individual screen.
And it could be done far less expensively because much of the infrastructure is already in place.
Plus it would be air conditioned.
