Walt Disney World Park Hours Update

Oh man, ok this is actually bad news for me. Being from the UK, the time difference works against me for late nights but for me with early mornings. We have a hotel that will allow extended evening hours but was worried if my daughter will cope with so many late nights . 9-11 was maybe doable but 11-1 will be a struggle so we may now not be able to take advantage of this :(
You could take a break part way through the day. The later the hours, the less crowded the park.

Currently in early jan it says fantasmic is at 930pm only. I have a dining package that says ‘first show’.
So will this be 930 or an earlier time? I hope not as I have other ADRs that would then conflict

If they add a 2nd show time (which they've been doing for most dates), your dining package will be for the earlier show.

Yes but this time is equivalent to 4-5am for our time zone here in the uk, and we will only be a few days into our trip. So for a 10 year old she’ll probably completely wiped out even with a sleep midday. By the time you exit the park at 1am and get back to hotel to sleep that’s 2am, then also wiping out the next morning of early access.

So is it worth it? Will it really be that empty on January 3?

I’ve found kids adapt pretty easily to the new time zone.
But I agree that you can probably only do either the extended hours or early entry. Far fewer people qualify for the extended hours than early entry though. I’d choose the extended hours.

We’ve never actually made it to the evening hours because we are just more successful as early risers…

I have found that the evening hours are more beneficial and enjoyable then the early entry.

College football bowl games played in Tampa Orlando, Miami during that time so expect to see their students, fans in the parks proudly wearing their team logo colors

You’d think with the shortening of the half today, they would open Epcot at 9 today…
