So scientist's never lie or...fudge for funding? I mean there exsistance depends on making somebody somewhere happy unless all scientists are born with some gold bullion. I mean thats how we got gatoraide right? "Science" lol

They’re people but if I get a choice of choosing to trust a scientist word vs a politicians I’ll pick the scientist on most topics.

That's why reputable science undergoes peer review from people unaffiliated with the original study/theory/results/whatever. If a scientist is lying, it will come out eventually through other scientific research.

You certainly don't have to believe scientists, and occasionally the scientific consensus turns out to be wrong (although that's generally about more theoretical issues that are very difficult to test), but if you aren't going to believe in science then there's really nothing you can believe in.

Probably not. Just saying it would be a nice gesture, especially for CMs and locals to do it for 1 night, not bring it back nightly.

Sure. But they could do that as some special after hours just for cast. Maybe two or three nights that CMs can sign up for in advance. I agree it would be a nice gesture.

The problem I have with consensus "findings" as well as quite a few of "Scince says" media tidal waves is they are not reproduceable. Feelings have nothing to do with Scientific Method.

7 Steps of the Scientific Method
Step 7- Communicate. Present/share your results. Replicate.
Step 1- Question.
Step 2-Research.
Step 3-Hypothesis.
Step 4-Experiment.
Step 5-Observations.
Step 6-Results/Conclusion.

On Monday CDC lifts some travel restrictions for international air travel, removing the requirement to direct all international flights to only 15 airports and halting health screenings upon arrival. A small step on opening up international travel. This should allow MCO to resume international arrivals
International flights are coming back slowly to MCO, mainly just SA now.

Orlando’s “largest international airline – Virgin Atlantic, along with Lufthansa, British Airways, and Aer Lingus among others are anxious to restart their MCO flight operations,” states the airport letter sent to the Department of Homeland Security.

Easy WDW has a nice rundown of how wait times have increased since the hours were reduced. Average waits were longer this weekend than they were Saturday & Sunday of Labor Day. Whatever Disney is doing with their hours and/or capacities certainly doesn't seem to be beneficial to guests at the moment. Low waits are the selling point right now. If those go away while so much remains closed, they're really hosing your guests.

Going to be interesting if anything is announced about a Disneyland opening date today, would not be too surprised. but then again California
I think it could be coming sooner than later. I’m sure Disney is pointing to the very successful re-opening in FL as exhibit A of evidence that they are capable of opening a theme park safely and with effective measures that guests will actually follow. That should go a long way towards convincing the government there it’s safe to open.

The Disney executives need to adjust their calculous of what is success. The old concept of Crowds = Success concept is now untenable. Now the thought process needs to adjust, for instance Enhanced Experiences = Happy Guests = Long Term Repeat Patronage = $. Opening say at 10 A.M. but not closing till 9 / 9:30 would provide a period of darkness for lighting visuals at each venue (spread it out) etc. I am sure the imaginEar's can be creative with visual effects through out the parks. In short, Do Something to make the experience special for the guests w/o a large price tag, extensive staffing and not create a "crowd" in one specific location.

Old news. They’ve been anxious - and still are - for months. Obviously.

Re start dates continually keep being pushed back.

the 'new' news from the article is as of yesterday Orlando can resume taking direct flights from countries that were previously banned. Now it is still up to some countries to allow travel to US of course.

CDC is lifting this week the federal restrictions that had required flights from the more than two-dozen nations of Europe’s open-border Schengen Area, United Kingdom and Brazil to land at one of 15 “funnel” airports in the U.S, a group that did not include Orlando International Airport.

Fingers crossed. The next step is to remove quarantine regulations on returning. Until that happens the majority of travellers basically can’t.

Looks like Universal mini HHN is going well so for, fully booked for today, pretty obvious they will expand it to 1 or 2 more houses if that keeps up throughout the weekend.
