Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

What I've read from past runners is just what @Rteetz was saying, pros and cons... The 2019 course through Sports Complex had too many bends and corners, some people felt it slowed them down and wasn't good on their knees. 2020 route they nixed that but you had to double back after DAK and those in later groups felt the sun's heat on their backs. Some people think there is not enough in the park running and too much road running.
I suppose we'll find out when the course maps come out if they took runners feedback into account for the 2022 courses, that and with what they have to do with avoiding construction areas.

I have a solution, though I am sure no one in authority is listening. Go back to using WWoS, just straighten out of a few areas, actually
make the time there a bit shorter, but then increase the amount of time run in Disney Studios. Come into DHS, and go right at the corner, go through Toy Story Land and Star Wars then come back to the front of the park by Star Tours then out the front. I am pretty sure this would work. ( I have worked on measuring road race courses in the past.)

All races were available again this morning with the price-hike

I am surprised. I have never seen Disney have a price-hike. I have run a number of races that have offered discounts to enter
early, say a June entry for an October race and as it got closer to the race date the price increased a bit. I have never see Disney
do this. Two things come to mind, first the pricing for a Disney event is much more than your usual race and often there are a
limit number of spots, which sell out pretty quickly. This gives you a bit of look at the current state of Disney and their plans to
find more and more ways to get more money from customers for a Disney vacation.

Or a naked cash grab.

They've done this before. They would have scheduled price increases back before the crazy times when races would sell out in hours or days.

They had the price increases in the past. Years ago, they would hit them. Heck, years ago you could still register by mail a month or to before the event and be fine. = p And even within more recent memory, I recall them having increases listed, but it would be a joke because they never seemed to have any availability left after the first round.

I absolutely hated running through Blizzard Beach seeing all those awesome pools and water slides, while I was sweating like crazy. All I wanted to do was hop in the water.

I really wish there was a way to contact Disney. I am sure it would work much better if they took out some of the "loops" at Wide World of Sports, and added a little to Animal Kingdom and Disney Studios. Look at the previous maps. It is very easy to see where these changes could be made while still covering the distance.

We all have course ideas and what not but that’s not how it works. Disney and track shack choose a course that works logistically best for them. Just because it may look like you can add mileage here or there doesn’t mean in actuality you can.

Honestly, yes I could. I have worked on setting up courses before, including the original course for the Ocean State Marathon
in Rhode Island all the way back in 1976. (also my first marathon) If you look at the foot prints of the parks, including WWoS,
adjustments could be made that would decrease the twists and turns at WWoS and increase the distance in both Animal Kingdom
and Disney Studios. Obviously it is Disney & Track Shack's choice, but don't tell me it can't be done, because I know it can.
