Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

As I'm refreshing my mind about this area, I think the loop out is going to be on boardwalk. Take a hard right after the churro/pretzel/turkey leg kiosk (can't remember exactly what it sells) and run out on the path that goes over the Rivers of America, and then turning around and running back across the bridge that goes over the Splash Mountain drop/loop. I hope I'm wrong as I forsee a lot of wipe outs at that corner if the wood is wet, never mind the log jam for the later corrals.
I think the 3rd cart on your right is turkey leg. It appears the bridge at that turn is no more narrow than the bridge from the castle to Liberty Square. Compared to last year, the only difference I see is the elimination of the race track being replaced by 3 minor components: Splash Mt./Big Thunder Mt. loop, Western Way out-and-back & AK entrance into Harambe Village and towards Asia.

Last year I saw pics of marathon weekend clothing and gear (jackets, magic bands, shirts, etc.) ahead of the race. I haven't seen anything this year. Has anyone seen photos posted of what we can purchase at the expo?

So after dealing with four different people someone finally apologized for losing my proof of time. I'm sure it's just to shut me up because they still won't fix it. Time to do other races in January.

They don't handle trip reservations in-house so why would they do race registrations?

And as much as I hate to see outsourcing, this is a good example of when it should be done. Even though runDisney pulls in big runner numbers, they still only do what, 8 main events a year with another 15 or so minor races at those events. I have race management companies that do that many in a single weekend near me. Admittedly most of those races max out a 1-2k runners, but still. Why should runDisney recreate the wheel? TrackShack just needs to get their act in gear with the proof of time. They haven't really screwed anything else up other than that.

A 10-day forecast for Florida should be taken with a grain of salt, but here you go That last column is humidity.

Pray the weather is nothing like yesterday. It was in the low 80s with 85% humidity when I finished my 11 miles. I was feeling a bit nauseous, and I just kept thinking if it keeps up like this for marathon weekend, there will be a lot of people overheating. Luckily it's dropping down to more normal temps starting Saturday - here's hoping it stays that way!

I think the temps will moderate to more normal conditions, if current forecasts pan out. The key for everyone will be the humidity levels. It will still likely be warmer and more humid than a lot of people have been training in.

Quick question - are there ticket booths at the wide world of sports where normal park passes can be purchased on packet pick-up days?

There are ticket booths at the bottom of the staircase, but I can't recall if they have ever been staffed or not during the Expos. However they would be the same cost as buying them at the gate, so at the worst you get to the park 10-15 mins earlier to buy your tickets before you enter the park.
