A thread drift about something as inconsequential as Canada in a thread about the closing of a McDonald's?!? Have you people no shame?!?

I'm not a big fan of Mcdonalds. I feel sad for the children that have to eat it every day after school instead of parents making them healthy home cooked meals BUT, I will miss the place. This is where my boyfriend asked me out on date for Ohanas while eating there. I accepted and we've been together for 9 months and growing strong. He'd always joke about how he wanted to take me to that Mcdonalds for our future dates and well, that will never happen, but that's fine! We have made Ohanas our tradition for that. What I'm trying to say, whether it be good or bad, I'm sure each and one of us have memories from there.

I don't have children but parents today let there kids get away with anything. If I was crying and screaming over food in WDW groing up I would I have been taken back to the room. You and I never agree but I never insult you. You were one of the few here that could debate without insulting that is what I liked about you.

My wife's all angry they took Master Shake off the one near ASM.

It is not about the food. Tt is a much more complicated issue. The food is merely the bit of familiarity and structure that can sooth a kid that is an alien environment. Have you never been anywhere and felt out of place and had just a small dose of something familiar that made you feel a bit better?

My dd and dsil went on a cruise last month. Had a great time and said the food was fantastic, but the first thing they wanted when they got home? McDonalds.

Based on the responses here, Disney might be well $erved to set up a shuttle going to the McDonalds near the west side of property. :lol:

While I don't really care for myself one way or the other, my oh so picky partner has been mourning the loss of McDonalds' fries in the parks for a while now and when I told her months ago about the McDonalds at DTD closing, she was not happy at all. Don't get me wrong, she loves a burger from Pecos Bill's but a burger always tastes better with McDonalds' french fries, at least they do according to my partner. So count one more sad guest into your mix that wishes that DTD would still have McDonalds in August when we visit again.
