Hopefully within the next year or so it'll be greenlighted and hopefully open by the 40th...

But the 40th is also in 2011, when it opens at DCA. Is there enough time to get a ride greenlighted, built and open by 2011 for WDW?

You would think there would be strong rumors at least by now if it was going to WDW soon, since we've known all about Little Mermaid for two years when Disney formally announced it in 2007.

I found this great pic taken by Darkbeer, apparently from a spinning Golden Zephyr rocket, of the Corridor Of Walls. Little Mermaid construction on the left, World of Color construction on the right.

What is amazing is that in a couple of weeks the newly revamped Electrical Parade, part of the hype of the Summer Nightastic! promotion, will be squeezing down this alley of construction walls every night. Yikes!

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder how Pixar Play Parade did today with the walls. Plus that area prior to the walls was my favorite place to watch the parades at DCA.

Word as it that Corn Dog Castle now has walls around it. So now theres walls around Dino Jack, Corn Dog Castle, Golden Dreams, and the old SF restrooms. Not sure about Souvenir 66 but its suppose to go down too.

If your still looking for the corn dogs you can get them at Bountiful Valley Farmer's Market next to the Tortilla Factory.

Bountiful Valley Farmer's Market in Disney's California Adventure Park will begin serving corn dogs on June 1 due to the temporary closure of Corn Dog Castle to make way for the upcoming attraction based on the movie The Little Mermaid.

^ It will be even more interesting when ever they start Buena Vista Street, since it will impact the front of the park instead of the back.

Better look at the walls around Dino Jack, Corn Dog Castle, and Souvenir 66, its just one giant wall from the old SF restrooms to Dino Jack.

Its going to be interesting on how the parades go threw that part, Im guessing it only going to be one side open that will be a walk way only? Its kinda sad to see the parade light towers with no lights or speakers :( although ugly they make the parades look great and the sound is amazing.

Of all of the elements of this massive DCA Extreme Makeover, I often think the Main Entrance/Buena Vista Street project is the most exciting.

Think about it.... never in the entire history of Disney theme parks, or perhaps any theme park anywhere, has an entire main entrance complex been completely made over and revamped. This concept is totally unprecedented in the history of Disney theme parks.

It's pretty much the one thing where the Walt Disney Company has to fess up and admit that they failed at their first attempt with a brand new theme park. No other Disney theme park has ever had to give up on the original design and theme of their entrance area or "opening scene" of their park.

It's the one glaring admission that DCA was not what it should have been upon opening in February, 2001. And Buena Vista Street not only fixes it, but will prove that the DCA naysayers were mostly right all along. That's some pretty powerful stuff there, if you ask me.
