Well.... looking forward now. I think it would be cool if they got creative and did, maybe, something like this:

Not exactly this. But you get the idea. And, maybe, something that glows in the dark for the night time?

If you sponsored a brick and would like to get a souvenir version, here’s what to do:

If visiting in person:

  • Stop by City Hall at Magic Kingdom Park or Guest Relations at Disney Springs to verify your previous brick by sharing the name and hometown of the Guest who sponsored it.
  • After verification, you will be given a one-time use voucher to present by, or before Aug. 31, 2019, at Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. (at Magic Kingdom Park – separate theme park admission required) or the Marketplace Co-Op (at Disney Springs), enabling you to purchase one commemorative 6” brick at a special price of $10 (plus tax).
If needing to contact us virtually:

  • Email guest.services@disneyworld.com or call 407-828-2701 with the name and hometown of the guest who sponsored the brick.
  • After verification, you will be provided a code to use by, or before Aug. 31, 2019, on shopDisney.com to purchase one commemorative 6” brick at a special price of $10 (plus tax and shipping) starting this spring. Please note, this code is for one-time use and will only be valid on shopDisney.com and may not be redeemed in person or at any other location. (Limit one voucher or code per verified guest.)
For Guests who did not participate in the original “Disney’s Walk Around the World” program but would like to purchase a personalized brick, souvenir bricks are available to customize and purchase starting at $29.99 (plus tax and optional shipping). These are on sale now at Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. at Magic Kingdom Park (separate theme park admission required to enter) or the Marketplace Co-Op (at Disney Springs), or later on shopDisney.com starting this spring.

I proposed to my wife at our own personalized brick near the TTC. I will be sorry to see it go. :(
Hope a timeline is given so I can visit one last time!

Me too! Ours was right in the middle of TTC and got removed years ago to put in an automated paper ticket machine! I'm hoping I can buy my replica brick cuz my kids never got to see it.

Not that they lose money.. the comment was it was 'cheaper and easier' to NOT do it all. Which would be true. Just think of all the extra labor and manpower spent on these things vs the acres of just power washed pavement everywhere else.
They could power washed pavement and then with a mold make the brick form. Its faster and cheaper.

I will be sad to see ours ago, but as of January, it was looking rough at the exit of the monorail. After 25 years, I am glad they are letting us get replicas and understand their removal. It was a great run, can't wait to see how they redo this area. Honestly, all I care about is 100 yards behind this through that tunnel!
I had to call in your brick for a repair last summer! It was a tad bit wobbly and was a trip hazard for Guests exiting. I distinctly remember using “The Queens” as the reference for them to look for when I reported it.
