I was planning to go to disneyworld this August like we do every year but the promotion, Space mountain refurb, no E Ticket attractions, consturction it seems worth to skip 2009. Many of the disney resorts are also in the process of renovating there rooms i think most will be done by the end of 2009. I understand if your already booked or booked early 2009. Just think is it really worth your money for nothing new:shrug:

Is it 5:00 yet?
We're skipping '09 as well since we are having our first baby the end of May. We currently have AP's that don't expire until June but there is no way we could make another trip before then. I am 18 weeks right now and we just got back from a trip to WDW and my legs couldn't handle carrying around the extra weight:o...I can't imagine being 7 or 8 months along...plus I am saving my other week of vacation for my maternity leave...

I am not quite sure how you figure that one out. No matter where you stay, 8 nights is 8 nights. You don't get any extra time to spend because you are at a monorail resort.

I'm guessing he's referring to the money it costs. For the money he spends for 8 nights at a deluxe resort, he's saying that he could spend double the time if he stayed at a value resort. That's how I interpreted it, anyway.

......ok so No space mountain ,consturction, a boring American Idol a no good promotion if you dont go on your birthday or have anything to celebrate. Really bad Econmmy , Disney is taking away entertainment like Tourch Lighting Fatasmic Shows It can go on and on

2010: New renovated space mountain, Renovated deluxe and moderate rooms, most likely a new attraction NEW Promotion
Bay Lake Tower possible Monsters INC Coaster PLUS you will save money

There isn't that much promotion for WDW where I live anyway.

Alex, you need to go back and loot the Poly Dole Whip machine again. :D (they'll be waiting for you now. . . and they have your picture :lookaroun )

One day you may learn Walt Disney World is a great enough place just as it is, with the combination of classic attractions and the occasional new additions; that the thousands of dollars your parents shell out to take you there aren't just to experience the next big thing.

Besides, remember 2009: American IDOL! :ROFLOL:

I agree I would go again and again, I don't care if there are new things in it, I like it a lot as the way it is. It is very exspensive being so far away me and my parents will save up from January 2009 even if there is nothing new in 2010 or "new rooms" as it is WDW and great the way it is.

Well, I for one will be waiting anxiously for my December 2010 trip, when not only will Space Mountain be open, BUT my whole extended family will also be joining me!

You know, after I take my trip in June 2009. :)

If your entire trip revolves around one big ride and possibly some new attractions, you may need to broaden your horizons a bit. There is just SO MUCH to do at WDW that even after 15 or so vists, we still find new things to do every time, and we always leave without doing everything we wanted to. Maybe that's why we go back nearly every year.
