The kids get Election Day off here in Buffalo, NY. My wife and I are going to walk over with the kids and show them how the process works in the morning, probably after 9am, when most people will be at work and the crowds might be a little less. Thankfully, I have tomorrow off as well.

Polls haven't opened up yet, but I'm watching the news and the lines are over an hour long now! I better get moving!

I think that's such a wonderful idea. :)

Why, they're all the same. Just two sides of the same coin. Whichever one gets in, I doubt that he'll be alot different than the other one would have been.

I got to my polling place 10 minutes before it opened this morning and there was already a line of people waiting.

I've been voting at this location for over 20 years and have never seen a line before.

It wasn't so bad though, it only took about ten minutes, in and out.

No matter who you're voting for it is great to see so many people coming out to excercise their right. Hopefully these same people will return year after year.

I just got back from voting. The lines were wrapped around the building, and I waited about 45 minutes before voting. I asked an older couple in front of me if they'd ever seen such long lines, and they said in their whole lives in this district, they've never seen lines longer than 4 or 5 people! It should make for a very interesting night.

Yikes! Hope the lines calm down before I can go vote later. I don't do well with lines....especially ones w/ no "linemosphere"

On the other hand....long lines = alot of people voting! :sohappy:

I voted at 8:25 this morning and had to wait in line - there has never been a line at my location before. It's great to see everybody getting out there.

And how about our Buffalo weather? 67 and sunny! :sohappy:

It really is a beautiful day here in Buffalo. We walked over around 9am and there was no one in front of me, I just went right into the booth with my son, let him press the one for President with me and then completed the voting. I was in and out of there inside of five minutes.

I overnighted my absentee ballot last week.

It doesn't matter who wins, because this has been a historic election.

We will have either:

1- First african american president
2a- First foreign born president
2b- First woman VP

Vote or lose your voice! I never understood why anyone that could vote wouldn't. I am heading out after lunch, I like voting on election day.
