These people go on every one of my forums and comment negative, and rude things. I'm sick of it.
Then it is time for you to learn to use the ignore function that this forum offers you OR get a little thicker skin.

It's part of an online community that you will always have someone that disagrees with you....no matter what.

Get use to it...embrace it...work with it

Postitivty only please. You don't know me, and I don't know you. It seems silly to fight online. For the record though I am so happy SeaWorld stopped their breeding program.

Given your past threads and how they've turned out and the reputation you've earned, good luck keeping things positive. Saying you don't want to fight and this and that... You've just opened the doors...

It's all on how you react. You've proven that your "my way or the highway" mentality on topics doesn't bode well. When you get a response that differs from that of your own, well... It's not handled well...

Well, like @mousehockey37 said earlier, those kids go to WDW to forget about their problems. Why should Disney provide a constant reminder to them?

Do you think it's an accident that they came out with an African American princess, an Asian princess, Native American princess… The reasons behind the OP's ideas are no different.

I don't necessarily feel strongly about it either way, but they have every right to discuss it.

Myself I suffer from too good lucks, a gorgeous body and hyperintelligence. What those familiar with DSM-IV would call narcissism (shame on them - can't help it that I really am all of those!). So it would greatly help me to love myself even more if there were a Princess Narcis.

Wait, make that two, like in Frozen, it would take at least two princesses to display my lengthy list of abnormally outstanding qualities.

Well next thing you know people will be clamoring for a gay male Princess.

I can't speak for every child out there, but are they really that concerned with having a princess share their disability, body size, etc.? I have Asperger's and I don't think I've ever once thought "I wish there was a Disney Princess that had Asperger's Syndrome." I just enjoy my favorite characters for what they are and don't think much about how they relate to me. I don't think you are wrong for having these wishes at all, it's just not something I've personally given much thought to.

While I am all for inclusion, I don't see the need to make a princess have a terminal illness, a serious illness, in a wheelchair, etc. The reason being, as someone who has struggled with a chronic illness for most of her life, that there is so much more to a person besides their illness or disability. A lot of children's shows incorporate kids with disabilities, which is wonderful, but as far as the Disney princesses go, a little bit unnecessary. I don't think I've ever once thought to myself, "Gee, I wish there was a princess who has asthma like I do!" Especially the terminally-ill one; that's more than a bit depressing. As far as a plus-size princess goes, as someone who has struggled with her weight most of her life, I think we as adults tend to focus more on body image than kids do.

I think it's more important to focus on traits that kids look up to or that are important to us as a society. For instance, having different races of princesses definitely promotes inclusion, which is extremely important. I also wouldn't mind seeing, not necessarily a princess, but an animated female character with an interest in the sciences because I think that there are far too few women in math and science fields. Really, the princesses should (and currently do) embody traits that are really important for all girls to learn: strength, intelligence, work ethic, kindness, etc. I think that is far more important than featuring a princess with a disability just for the sake of featuring one with a disability.
