Interesting that Gaston and Captain Hook are there given they're already represented in Fantasyland.

Also, the lack of Dr. Facilier to me screams that the rumor of Disney wanting to distance themselves from him due to backlash over their inaccurate depiction of voodoo is starting to be even more believable.
Facilier was in the initial announcement of the land, and just featured in Tokyo’s Halloween parade this year. He’s probably going to be in the land.

I also want to state that they've reiterated multiple times two MAJOR attractions. That doesn't necessarily mean there won't be anything minor added on as well. There's potential for a good C or B ticket thrown in that wouldn't be as crazy expensive as the two E tickets.
If it can't sell a Lightning Lane, it's not gonna happen. Not with post-Chapek Iger.

Oh was he? Phew. He's one of my favorites (Keith David is a legend) so I'd hate for him to not be included. They can always update his character to either be more accurate or cut ties to voodoo and just be evil magic.

Having a trigger warning at the entrance like with other warnings so guests know what to expect. Same thing they do for sensitive content in books nowadays.

Those would be some very long signs.

Anything with a villian, injury, gun depiction, priacy, robbery, goodguy vs badguy etc...

"This attraction has macabre and morbid themes as well as ghastly humor" would likely cover it easier. And there are already similar things.

FTFY.

Bob the Lesser got to implement all the things Bob the First wanted to do but never had the testicular fortitude to implement because he was too concerned about "his legacy".
I was going to say just “Iger” but I wanted to avoid people going “erm in 20-whatever Iger opened up Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree which is a flat ride that doesn’t have a long line ☝️🤓” so I kept it recent since there’s been zero attractions that aren’t major E tickets as of late lol

OR they could have taken inspiration from my version of Villains Village and given him an exclusive attraction 😃

Ok, leaving dreams aside, they'll probably add him only as Meet and Greet in case any backlash happens, so it's easier to remove and hide him away if necessary.

Hate this, I REALLYYYYYY hope they dont
It would not be practial to do that... Move the queue, yes, but I don't think it would be feasible to actually move the entrance. Moving the queue will also force them to cover the show building...Which I assume will be happening. THe TOkyo version in Fantasyland has rockwork and additional buildings fleshing out the area a little better than our version. It would be nice to walk past the house on the hill... without having the direct view blocked by the monsterous canopy..I miss that view....

14 animatronics in Monsters Unleashed. No word on how many creatures that encompasses.
Gillman, Dracula, his brides, Frankenstein’s Monster, the Wolfman, the Phantom, Igor and Dr. Frankenstein are all confirmed last I checked, and both the Mummy and the Invisible Man are rumored for it too. So that’s ten villains/monsters for it. I know the Bride of Frankenstein has a meet and greet with the Monster but I don’t think she’s in the ride.

do we know that he killed himself? or was he murdered? You can barely even see what it is up there... People triggered by death should probably not even venture into a "Haunted" attraction though...
1) I guess it's not 100% that he killed himself, but the line "There's always my way" (to find a way out) heavily implies the way out is suicide
2) Not sure what you mean you can barely see it, your eyes are directed upwards by the lightning and it is very clearly a body with a noose around their neck suspended from the rafters
3) Agreed with you on being triggered by death in general, but suicide is very different. The gun violence is a dual, and decapitations aren't exactly a common issue or mental struggle for most people.

Not saying they will change it. It personally does not bother me as I am not affected by it. However, someone that does not know the ins and outs of the spooky haunted house, might not expect depictions of suicide in a Disney world attraction. I personally don't think it's that integral to the ride and would be perfectly fine with a replacement if Disney chooses to do so.

It is a gag that has been there since 1971...no one has been triggered by it... None of what is in the mansion is particularly graphic or horrible. Yes some people can be triggered by just about anything.... but seriously, you can't have any sort of haunted attraction if you are concerned people will be triggered by death. Why are we looking for more problems to cancel attractions in the park? It is crazy. We really need to stop combing everything in our world looking for things to sanitize in case someone might not like it.
Triggered by death? don't go in the Haunted Mansion...stick to Dumbo but don't dig too deep or you will find his mother died....

I think we will have to agree to disagree on this one. I have no problem with the death or spooky aspects of the Haunted mansion. I'm fortunate enough that it has never touched my life, so the suicide scene does not negatively affect me personally.

I'm simply stating, I can understand that there are certain things like suicide that are clearly part of a mental health crisis in the USA and I would understand why Disney might choose to remove it. I also can look outside of my own experiences and try to put myself in someone's shoes. There are people have either contemplated, attempted, or been affected by suicide and bringing it up in the middle of a Disney attraction could lead them to a pretty dark place mentally. I also think in almost all things in life, saying something like "its always been that way" is a really bad rationale for why something should or shouldn't happen/remain.

Moving back to Villian's land, I personally don't see them moving the HM into Villains land because there really is no Villian of HM. Unless you consider maybe the Ghost Host or Hat Box Ghost a villain.

EDIT: Not going to clog this thread with more posts about suicide, but whataboutisms are such a bad way to debate something and further proved to me we will not agree on this topic.

I guess we have to start removing everything that might offend someone... the druk scenes in Pirates will have to go because there might be a recovering alcoholic that might be offended/triggered..... The stereotypes in Small World are offensive to some, The mermaids in Peter Pan have to go because they objectify women, The Racial stereotypes in the Enchanted Tiki Room trigger my Acid reflux, The new Country Bears are offensive because some people have been attacked by bears and we should be more sensitive to them, the Speedway definitely has to go because....Dale Earnhart and the millions that die on our roadways annually...Main Street takes place in a time where there was racism and Mysogeny....so perhaps we should change that to a less offensive time period.... What a fun park it will be when it is all cleaned up and sanitized for anyone that could possibly be offended...
Have you seen Television/movies lately? What is featured during prime time is WAY more graphic than anything that has ever been in a Disney park... We need to stop looking for problems in content....

This is the slippery slope fallacy.

Haunted Mansion being shoe horned in to Villians Land sounds great to me. Then a few things around it in Liberty Square can turn into a mansion shop, restaurant, and meet and greet. The rest of Liberty Square is an extension of Frontierland and the Haunted mini land takes us from Fantasyland into Villans. Then you still have some Frontierland stuff along that walk since Cars is taking over.

It's always been funny to me that Disneyland Frontier attractions were shoe horned to Liberty Square to give it more...like the riverboat and saloon.
