Perhaps this will be where the Shanghai pirates tech comes into play at WDW...
Would prefer a trackless dark ride since MK is probably gonna be the only Disney park in America without one soon. That said if it ain't that I'll be grateful and take Shanghai pirates any day (especially if there's a hades rivers of styx's scene). Plus Ursula and and mops from Fantasia right before Chernabog would be epic

If I was running things at Disney the Shanghai Pirates tech would be paired with that rumored Moana ride at MK anyways. I also theorized that reason Moana was pulled last minute from D23 2024 was because perhaps the ride system that looked like her ship didn't work out capacity wise. Remember Disney had no problem killing the original Avengers E ticket quinjet because the capacity wasn't great.

Feeling more and more like too big a price to pay to get Villains land. Not sure if this dream is worth losing so much and accepting that cars travesty coming in.

Then don’t go.

Everyone who has such hype needs to temper them for Villians land.

Crumbling dark castle scenery, corners for Meet and Greets and a launched family Vekoma Coaster is what you are getting.
It will be two rides, a gift shop, and a restaurant. In other words the exact same thing every themed land in any American theme park for the last 20 years or so. It’s the theming and concepts that get people hyped more than anything. If a villain’s run dark fantasyland is something you’d enjoy then you’ll probably like this new area and if not then it’s probably a place you’ll want to walk past.

allegedly... depending on what is left of the budget after the ill-placed Carsland further west National Park Road Rallye is completed...
At the moment, it's not allegedly because Disney have announced 2 major attractions.
Let's not forget Villains is part of phase 1 (2024-2029) of the 10-year 60 million investment. Anything planned for phase 2 will see the budget restraints (2030-2034)

I just have to save this post for posterity.

I look forward to your admission about how “fun” this new land is, yet somehow I get the impression that word will never come.

It can be fun. But some people need a reality check on expectations. We are not getting multiple E ticket dark rides.

You are more than willing to obsess or invest in how much fun you think I should personally find there.

There will be 2 E-tickets. One of them being the new flagship dark ride of WDW.

I just care about how much fun my family and I are going to have.
