More likely than people probably want to think. It would complete the toonification of LS and Frontierland changes to merch more.
It also solves issues with mansion that are “sensitive” I’m guessing it’s at least being considered as part of the plan but mansion wouldn’t go down until the rest is built.

do we know that he killed himself? or was he murdered? You can barely even see what it is up there... People triggered by death should probably not even venture into a "Haunted" attraction though...

Right…. And nightmare fixes that. That’s my point.

There is also gun violence and decapitation. (Not talking about hat box ghost… that’s cartoon)

It is definitely implied suicide. But suicide is a horrible thing of tragedy. So are many thing in stories of cinema and attractions. Stories are allowed to have horrible things.

With modern execs, it is less about sensitivity and more about merch and the Nightmare before Christmas Plan concept would provide that. Luckily HM is also a cash cow for now in terms of legacy and merch.

So, with 2 rides in this alleged-land, how are they going to feature... *checks notes*... 14 different Disney villains?
My guess is the bulk of them will be included in the dark ride via projected media and they can be rotated out for each ride through. I am also guessing the land will be flexible in general so that if a new villain breaks through, they can easily be added.

You know what's funny?
I also want to state that they've reiterated multiple times two MAJOR attractions. That doesn't necessarily mean there won't be anything minor added on as well. There's potential for a good C or B ticket thrown in that wouldn't be as crazy expensive as the two E tickets.
They will need something other than waiting 90 minutes in line twice. A villains version of TSI maybe? Where you can explore. :)

This kind of backs up what I've been saying. Only a portion of those villains make any real sense together (and there's no way you could design a single land that actually feels like it was inspired by all of them; they're too different).

Gaston, the Queen of Hearts, Cruella, Lady Tremaine, and Captain Hook are significant outliers from the rest.
Interesting that Gaston and Captain Hook are there given they're already represented in Fantasyland.

Also, the lack of Dr. Facilier to me screams that the rumor of Disney wanting to distance themselves from him due to backlash over their inaccurate depiction of voodoo is starting to be even more believable.

Having a trigger warning at the entrance like with other warnings so guests know what to expect. Same thing they do for sensitive content in books nowadays.
