This is why I feel it's more like the Storytime with Belle than a standard M&G. The Disney website describes it like:
Enchanted Tales with Belle: Become part of a lively retelling of the "tale as old as time," hosted by Belle and Lumière

Me too! Like I said, that attraction was impressive but because so few people actually read the guide maps, the elaborate queue made people assume they were in for some sort of ride.

ahh, ok. I mistook your comment to saying that the queue was impressive but it lead to an underwhelming attraction. Now I understand that you meant for what it was, the queue and attraction were good, but didn't hold up to the build up provided in the guide map and the length/immersion of the queue.

Got it!

So it is just a walk through, kinda like what they tore down for this chopped expansion? So they just made a walk through of a different character?

So if the mirror takes you to Beast’s castle and we will get to see the wardrobe next, where do you eventually exit the attraction from? Unless they transport you back to Maurice’s cottage, in order to keep with the story line do you exit into or beside the Be Our Guest restaurant?

It's too bad this doesn't culminate in a dark ride with the "magic portal" being the attraction's version of the HM stretching room. Another omnimover dark ride would eat a lot of people, too.

They torn down ariel's grotto walk through and meet-and-great for this walk through and meet-and-greet.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but didn't Ariel's grotto sit more where the mine train is going? Also, they are putting Ariel's Grotto back in the new Little Mermaid area, so really, they just moved that attraction, not replaced it.

Not only moved Ariel's Grotto, they seemed to have enhanced it. The old AG was getting a little cheesy, with the rock work. The new rock work seems so much more realistic, and I love that it's attached to her ride. I think it's far superior than the previous one.

That Mirror effect is going to make the kids giddy (and some adults)! Look forward to seeing this in person. I think the idea of plussing a M&G like this is much better than standing in line for Rapunzel or Meridia... And the interactive elements give it a bit more interest to the adults...

Yeah I agree. While watching the video I actually felt like I was in line for a dark ride, its a shame they didnt do it here while they had the chance. Not that everything has to be a ride, but for all the wonderful hoopla leading up to just a meetngreet is a little dissapointing. The details are incredible. Im not sure how big this area is exactly of the cottage and all inside? Would that have been enough space for a small dark ride in terms of show space if they had gone with a ride layout?

It's been pretty clear since the official announcement at D23 way back when that this would pretty much be a new home for the Enchanted Tales with Belle, where audience members take on roles from the story in an interactive time with Belle and an AA Lumiere. (There was even concept art showing the room in the castle that you go to, with Belle, Lumiere on the mantle and a boy playing the part of the Beast.

I'd presume at the end of the interactive part that Belle will pose for photos and autographs.

And as there are two show rooms, they probably take one room full of Guests every 8-10 minutes, with a 15-20 minute show with Belle.
