This evening's performance of Wishes was replaced with a preview version of 'Disney's Celebrate America!-A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky'. They ran the entire show, including the perimeter launch locations. The island launch location was not used however, but will be for the actual show on the 3rd and 4th. Spectacular! Great job to the MK pyro crew!!

Wowzza! now that was a fireworks show! I saw it from the top of the Contmporary. They totally stole the red stars then white stars then blue stars filling the sky just before the finale from EPCOT. But the best part was in the middle, a sequence that touched the heart strings a bit...

Thanks for the video. Another amazing fireworks display by WDW!

I wonder if this one will set of car alarms in the parking lot at the Comtemporary like the NYE fireworks?

Make sure you catch the Hidden Mickeys at the end - a great added detail to a fantastic show!

I was there (in the Hub) and it was absolutely brilliant. Everyone seemed to love it.

WOW!

That one gave me goosebumps!Very nice!
It seemed very "retro" to me...Perhaps it was more serious? It certainly reflects the current attitude in the Nation. It seems like Disney wants to boost our morale.I loved the narration BTW.
Thanks Steve!

So, this may be a dumb question...but, this isn't replacing Wishes permanently is it?? I've read on another site (I know, shame on me..) that "......new fireworks show debuting on July 3 and 4...." which leads me to think it's replacing my/our beloved "Wishes"...sniffle, sniffle..

No its just for the July 4 holiday. It will be shown on July 3 and July 4.

I saw it last night in person too. The finale was great, but I cant help but remember last years' show being much more upbeat. The previous show was dated, yes, but it was nonstop music and fireworks from the beginning to the end. This new one was very slow for a show with the words "concert in the sky" in the title.

My favorite part was the first use of all the perimeter fireworks with the single red strobe going up all around. Gave me goosebumps for some weird reason. The Shenandoah segment was really well done and reminded me of Remember Dreams Come True.

A very good show, but I would take New Years Eve MK fireworks any day. The countdown in the sky is pretty hard to beat.

Didn't really impress me that much...

Thanks for the video, Steve!

Overall, its good, maybe (just maybe) pretty good, but I wouldn't call it "spectacular". The "This is My Country" section was great (that one got my emotions going), but the "Stars and Stripes Forever" segment was underwhelming. I agree with ISTCrew20 that for a show that has "concert" in its name, it was pretty slow in some areas. The narrator was great (reminded me of the guy who did the opening for the previous "O! Canada" show), but the narration interruppted too often, IMHO. The name is "concert", which indicates to me that there should be nearly continuous music. Have an opening, and then maybe one more brief area of narration just before the end, but otherwise, keep the music playing!

I also feel that some of the music was placed in the wrong areas. The slower stuff should be at the beginning. The middle and middle/end of the show should have the familiar, upbeat pieces. The reason why is because in the first 4-5 minutes, people are still into the show, and they'll appreciate the slower stuff. If you put it in towards the middle or end though, it makes the show seem slower and longer, and people will be bored during that section. By the 8-9 minute point, they want to see the big grand finale, not some slow, majestic music with minimal pyro.

Again, I thought it was a good show, but it didn't blow me away like it did for a majority of others. It definitely has some nice moments, but it just lacked a certain "umph" for me.

I've just watched the whole video and have to say, those fireworks were amazing! And as a Brit in a country to afraid to fly it's own flag, I really admire and love the way you guys are so patriotic and so proud of your country! I wish we Brits were a bit more like that!

I'm proud to be British and I just wish we could celebrate our country a bit more!

^^ As a very well traveled American, I can honestly say THAT is a sentiment I don't hear very often from overseas (or even in our own country, for that matter, in recent years...). Thanks for that, brightened my day.

I have to agree with what a few others have said as far as it being a little slow moving. Definitely not as good as I had hoped it would be.
