Vegas is like Epcot

I just gotta ask... First time ever visiting Las Vegas. And I gotta say... I am enjoying the atmosphere of these mega resorts more than I am Epcot these days..

..some of these places are like Epcot in crack! Did the Epcot imagineers pack up and move to Vegas??? This place is amazing!!

The big pyramid, the Italy resort... Absolutely insane. I'd argue some of these resorts do a better job on theming than quite literally any modern day Disney architecture.

How do we have this monstrous sized buildings over in Vegas and Disney can't seem to get past go away blue boxes???
i agree in the aspect that Vegas has evolved to be more aesthetic to the senses and I love Vegas but Epcot and Vegas give me totally different vibes.

I would like to clarify: I'm on vacation with my wife and dad. We don't gamble. We don't drink.

We explore and we watch shows. Going to Omega Mart this week... Alternative vacation options outside of Disney are definitely a must for me now after doing this. I grew up conditioned to only go to Orlando. Boy did that change!! Lol
Wait in your entire life you've only vacationed to Las Vegas and Orlando?

Wait until you do something with actual nature.

Unfortunately, its a pale shadow of what it use to be.
Really? My brother went not long ago and asked me for dining suggestions, as I used to go to Vegas around 15 years ago. When I looked, some of the old classics like Aureole and BLT Burger had closed, but there were tons of new options. Lots of fusion style restaurants… I haven’t been in over a decade, though, so can’t speak to their quality.

Side note / random thought - I think I am the only person in literally the world who wasn’t crazy about Nobu in Vegas. And I love sushi… but I just didn’t get what all the fuss is about.

LOL, we use to call Vegas "disneyworld for Adults". I was there last mother's day with some cousins. Had a blast. Stayed at the Venetian., heck I could have spent the weekend in there alone.

Like others I'm not a big gambler so 3-4 days is enough for me
Adult Disney world was the infamous WDW Pleasure Island back in the heyday. Killed lots of brain cells in my younger days. It made Epcot Food and Wine look tame.

I was going to say the same thing. Comparing Vegas to Epcot though is just kinda weird. The two are aiming for different goals. If you go in the Luxor you aren't going to have anything Egyptian in there,
The buffet was pretty elaborate lol. I was actually thinking the inside reminded me of the contemporary resort times 10.
same with the Paris hotel, which oddly features English chef Gordon Ramsey??
I said the Italy resort
Vegas has superior food, but as a family spot, it can leave something to be desired.
I'm a "Disney adult" without kids 🤷‍♂️
There are still hookers all over, lots bros drunk and rude, and I haven't even discussed heading to downtown where the zombies roam.
It is a bit sketch.
To the OP check out the VR in the canal shops, and head over to MeowWolf off the strip for something very cool to see and do.
Yep we are going to meowwolf this week

Nooo no... I've been to Spain, Iceland, Brazil, Mexico, trans-atlantic cruising, cruising in general (carnival, Disney, Royal Caribbean), I got to NYC a lot, DC, New Orleans, spent 2 weeks in Ireland during college, Disneyland, Hawaii... My family literally travels for a living and then we take our "business trips" to do "research" across the globe.

But I mostly go to Disney and NYC. I'm only 25. 🤷‍♂️

Heart Attack Grill is legendary in Vegas, some guests actually died eating in the restaurant. No way WDW would advertise a dining location like that.

We had a food tour and we had some DEEELICIOUS foods. I couldn't tell you where we ate thought because there was so many.

I will say the hot dogs at Dirty Dogs are VERY good.

My comparison to EPCOT--

Drinking- check
Eating- check
Elaborate Ginormous show buildings- check
World showcase- check
Entertainment- check
Streetmosphere- check

I can even add a mix of Disney springs in there with volcano Cafe and planet Hollywood. 😂 Plus the Cirque shows. Mwah.

Family also takes full advantage of " business trips ". Breadwinner attends conferences during the day at the resort while family enjoys playing in the WDW parks

We're touring children's theatre. So as long as shows, entertainment, atmospheric elements for set design, and food are involved we are good. 👍👍

25!!!

Shoot, that's not a bad age for a first Vegas trip. I think I was 16 (which of course kinda stank), and then 22ish when I went and had my first fun-memorable time.

Vegas is unique, there is no place quite like it. ...which is both good and bad. You have plenty of time to see other stuff too still.

The duluxe hard-hat Hoover dam tour is recommended. ...if you know... you like dams.
