Updates to the Seas Pavilion

The entrance via the mediocre Nemo ride makes the pavilion feel less impressive than it actually is. In terms of cheapening an existing attraction with IP, I think the Nemo overlay is right up there with UP! A Great Bird Adventure.

The Seas aquariums are an under-advertised and under-utilized asset. People pay a lot of money to visit aquariums elsewhere! It should be a pillar of EPCOT's value proposition.
totally agree, and this would be a great example of where a partner (not necessarily a sponsor) would be amazing. Someone who could come in and educate the public but also learn about the animals (not cruelty based by observation based, there is still so much we dont know) and use as a research area (which might be a tax right off? hint hint), i know the tanks are a lot bigger than we see and you could co partner with someone for the education and research angle. They should spend more money, newer bigger tanks wouldnt be bad to go with the ones they have.

I totally agree! I feel like I have to remind myself when I'm in the park that there is in fact an aquarium that I should visit at EPCOT!

This is why I feel that the concept of Journey of Water is a good idea, just not the attraction itself or on the West plot. Guide people to The Seas, it's so often overlooked, especially when the only way to get to it was via taking a right at the breezeway. Restore the CommuniCore exit that dumped people out by Coral Reef, it'll accomplish the same thing.

I've posted information from this in the past and I'll put it out there with the appropriate caveats. I was aware of two different budget proposals / 5 year plans for EPCOT from early 2017. Both of these plans included $100 million for the Living Seas in Fiscal Year 2021.

This is old information, I do not know if this is still on the table.

$125m.

It was pushed back to 2025 until it went quiet.

Can't imagine Disney is overly anxious to make a character voiced by Ellen the focal point of any future rides, given her latest controversies.

Or get Sigourney Weaver to repeat her role as the announcer of the Marine Life Institute. Throw in a few "Try to imagine" Living Seas references and you get a happy medium. (Although I'm more in favor of the above-mentioned serious tone)
