Noticed this while at The Seas today, it’s at the exit. Is this a design tribute to the hydrolators or just coincidence?

They don't seem to be anywhere near the location of the exit Hydrolators, so I kind of doubt they're any kind of tribute. But, this is Disney, so who knows what they're thinking!

Yep. Here’s an aerial view of the spot you mention. Almost looks like a third circle between the two you show. It is directly outside the exit doors. Not sure if it is a nod to the exit hydrolaters, would be close enough of a spot. Definitely is weird though.

moving away from the aquarium save the oceans theme and making it a finding nemo with some tanks, was one of most frustrating decisions by the people run epcot. late 60s to present day its been save the oceans.. and every year we pollute them more. Theres a trash pile the size of texas (maybe much much much bigger now) floating out there. The fish are dying, we over fish, we kill large animals for their fins, global warming... if one pavillion should have a true educatement purpose its this one. This should leave you feeling inspired to do what you can to save the oceans and care about sea life.. if anything it should have been expanded several times to one of the best aquariums in the US. Instead it joins imagination, and the center spine as a huge hole that isnt nearly as impressive as it should be.

While the dedication is certainly not the same as it was in the 80's/90's, when I visited the pavilion back in February, I was happily surprised to hear the CM hosting the Manatee tank giving a really passionate pitch, particularly targeted for the children, on the hazards of plastic waste, why they were once an endangered species, why one of the manatee's in the tank had a deformed tail, etc. Overall it was more than I expected.

The entrance via the mediocre Nemo ride makes the pavilion feel less impressive than it actually is. In terms of cheapening an existing attraction with IP, I think the Nemo overlay is right up there with UP! A Great Bird Adventure.

The Seas aquariums are an under-advertised and under-utilized asset. People pay a lot of money to visit aquariums elsewhere! It should be a pillar of EPCOT's value proposition.

👍

I do wish there was more consistency in guests experience, because I should have mentioned when we went last September, my experience was similar to yours.
