Upcoming Fantasyland ReDesign

I think if they were going to a mine train type ride, it wouldn't be for Snow White, but instead for Indy and it would be over at DHS.

But i would be more than happy with two :).

The 2011-2012 time frame is also the 75th Anniversary of Snow White. The Walt Disney company did have a huge promotion for the film's 50th annversary. So that may be why they are thinking of building a Snow White Coaster instead of using a theme like Indy.

Just my 2 cents.

Interesting take. Seems less of an odd idea now. Thanks for the info.:)

I personally don't get too excited over any of the rumors because I would rather get really excited about it when Disney makes an official announcement, then let down when they don't. But they are still interesting to think about.

I am a huge LM fan, and I think its about time Ariel gets a ride! I've never understood why TLM never got a bigger attraction than VOTLM over at DHS.

I also think the Snow White coaster idea sounds pretty great too! I think its theme would attract the younger crowd, while a faster coaster-type ride would be great for older kids and adults.

Well I hope that they will get a green light on it, I would love to see a BatB ride in Magic Kingdom. Just a question, why did they call it the 20k site?

Its the land where the 20,000 legaus under the sea ride used to be.

I agree that a BatB ride would be cool, and as would a Little Mirmaid one, but a Snow White coaster? Isn't there already a dark ride for that same movie a few feet away?

I'm not holding my breath for any of it to happen anytime soon, but it would be fun to have something new back there.

Bingo.
What is being discussed here is a big bunch of proposals that have been developed for Fantasyland. Not all of it, if any, will ever happen. Happens all the time.
Mermaid? Probably a sure thing at this point.

The thing is bare minimum besides mermaid it would be great if they could at least get Snow White and Peter Pan up the same show quality level as their DL counterparts because the MK versions suck compared to the DL ones. It would be nice if they at least did a nice rehab and makeover of MK's Fantasyland because it really pales in comparison to DL and DLP's.

If they did go through with a snow white coaster you can bet the dark ride would be replaced. I believe the one rumor was snow whites adventure would become beauty and the beast. While I think its pretty certain now we will get the little mermaid ride, I just have a feeling the snow white coaster is not going to happen I think that one is a big wish rumor, but hey ya never know.

That's an interesting theory. It might have been one of the factors Imagineering took into concideration.

still, two new dark rides and a coaster seems like a tight squeeze for the old 20k plot. Ecspecially if these are going to be fully immerive experiences. I assume the Pixie Hollow area would fit better over by PPF and IASW in the old Skyway building, but I am just guessing here.
I wonder what they will do, the land is too small for a coaster.

I have to agree - I do think that if the Snow White coaster is a go, the dark ride will be replaced.

Personally, I'm not too against the coaster. Really, Snow White was the first Princess movie Disney made, and it was very successful. If anything, Snow White in my opinion is one of the most overlooked Princess movies. Not very fair, considering it was really the start of it all.

I would love a BatB ride! Also, I think an Aladdin ride would be pretty neat too. I know they have the carpets, but I think an actual dark ride would be interesting as well.

What about Sleeping Beauty? As far as I know, this has never had a dark ride either.

Am I the only one who reads this Snow White Roller Coaster thing and gets a mental image of Goofy's Barnstormer going around Seven Dwarf set pieces?

I'm sure this coaster will be small, and purposely very tame, and really meant for the kiddies. Certainly this won't have a height requirement any taller than Goofy's Barnstormer, and thus won't be any more thrilling than that type of small kiddy coaster. Any adult looking forward to pulling some G's on this thing will be disapointed.

Why would they make a ride about Snow White and then have a height requirement tall enough that six year old girls can't ride it?

I really think this Snow White thing is going to be a cute kiddy coaster with a gift shop selling tiaras and satin gowns at the exit for all the little girls. It's a Princess Coaster for gosh sakes.
