Congrats to all involved with this film!

It was uncredited, but I have a feeling that a certain place that was near and dear to my heart had some influence on this film. That connection as well as the amazing script, animation, and characters will have me loving this film for the rest of my life. Cannot wait to show my kids someday.

Right on! :sohappy:

Except I'm happy about it.

For me, it was a movie that was trying to win awards from it's inception. I felt that way when I saw it. It didn't feel organic. It didn't feel like they were trying to entertain.

Up deserved Best Picture in my humble opinion. It was a great, touching and pure fun movie that was all around awesome. District 9 was my runner up. I was just happy that both were nominated and that Avatar didn't win. I did really like Avatar, but it's not the masterpiece that many people claim it is.

I just hope Hurt Locker doesn't win, personally.

I couldn't agree more.

HL was just a series of explosions, no real plot or character development. Don't even get me started on how unrealistic it was. I am surprised that this has gotten so much critical acclaim.

I personally would have gone with "Up in the Air" with "Up" a close second. I didn't see "Avatar", but I doubt I'd have thought of it as a best picture.
