Unpopular WDW Opinions

What really gets me, simply is the over crowding. Sure the parks can deal with a silly capacity, but the rides .. ya .. no. They get a bit worse every year that drags by. Thinking Star Wars and Toy Story land will ease other park attendance is an exercise in futility.

Oh, this should be fun....

  • Adults at MK without kids is weird (there are very rare exceptions)

Until Iger's tenure, WDW actively marketed to adults - from Pleasure Island, to the Tower of Terror - many of their attractions targeted adults. Even when WDW first opened, it was advertised more towards adults than kids. Honeymoons have also always been a big marketing target.

One of Eisner's biggest accomplishments was the Disney Decade, which really improved the overall food quality (until the Disney Dining Plan took a hammer to that quality) and built truly unique five star resorts (until they sat on their laurels for too long making the resort amenities outdated). All of this was done to lure adults on their own.

3. I don't care if the Yeti never works.
Oh yeah, that's another one of mine. The yeti was/is not the most fantastic animatronic ever and the ride goes too fast for anyone to fully appreciate it, moving or not.
Personally, my favorite advanced movement animatronic is the animatronic on navi river journey, but my favorite, experience wise is mr. potato head. I'd rather spend a day with mr. potato head than do any meet and greet. But then again, I am really shy. : P

There are a ton of places people rave about at WDW dining, I don't get it, I've tried most and they are really kind of blah sort of a few dishes at a few places. Maybe my taste buds are broken ;)

People rave about the food at these character breakfasts and I just don't get it. Powdered eggs, generic sausage/bacon and breakfast potatoes. How exciting and original!

And yet you'll gladly store a toothbrush in the bathroom, and then swab it all over the inside of your mouth...
I get your very valid point but mine is in a nice little Oral B case that came with my electric toothbrush thankfully! But mine did used to stay out.

  • DHS is an underrated park and is overall better than Epcot (when everything is open of course)
  • Future World is so outdated and irrelevant that I wouldn’t mind if basically everything except for SSE got bulldozed and rebuilt completely (even if it’s IP influenced like GotG)
  • AK is a half-day park
  • FP+ has always been a disaster and paper FP was better
  • There’s nothing wrong with MK’s Pooh ride
  • I don’t know if this is unpopular on these forums, but TSMM is one of the most overrated rides in Disney history

We [still] wants the Redhead!

Not this one who is more interested in rum. If that be the case, give us Jack to offer the rum.

(Honestly though, Jack Sparrow likes rum...I think Disney missed a shot...)

Edit: OR, give us Mrs. Bluveridge to offer us the Rum.

or do something else besides offering chickens!

Yes, that exactly. There are very very few items I crave out of the blue from WDW as far as food goes. There are some, don't get me wrong, but in general, its pretty plain. Take Yak and Yeti for example. The Kobe burger rare/medium, is awesome .. good sauce, toppings, and everything just kind of works on the plate nicely together. Then, you have a laundry list of fairly generic, and medicore done wok stuff, a decent app or two. My dad had the Korean ribs and I tried one on one of the visits, and it was fairly tasty, not like ask for more but .. decent.

I am far from a food snob, but over the years have figured out how to recognize a good dish and what one tastes like. Its kind of hit and miss, sometimes I have to go back to the same place a couple times and try different things before I find something that i couldn't make at home.

  • California Grill isn't all it's hyped up to be
  • EPCOT is going overboard with the festivals
  • Impressions de France is the greatest attraction WDW wide
  • Original Fastpass system was so much better than Fastpass +
  • Drinking around the world is a rite of passage
  • La Cava de Tequila is not worth the hype
  • I would be willing to pay extra $ for unlimited Fastpasses
  • I like when haunted mansion stops all the time so I can look around
