It started the minute we arrived on 9/6/09. My wife is handicapped and as we pulled up to the gate to pay for parking I showed them the handicapped plackard. The instructed me to put on my emergency flashers and follow the blue line to the parking area. When we got in the garage the was a person standing at the end of one of the aisles and directed us down the aisles. We proceeded down the aisle only to find no parking spots. All aisles aim the same direction so we had to loop back toward the exit and start again. We were then directed down the same aisle by the same person. I explained to him that there wasn't any parking left in this aisle thinking he would direct us to a different aisle and he told us we'll just have to park somewhere else in a non-handicapped space. I drove off and watched him continue to direct cars with emergency flashers on down the aisle behind me.

That was my first experience with Universal Customer service or lack thereof.

The universal Parking Garages are designed a little weird to the out of towner.. there is 1 lane that is two way traffic, and it's right next to the exit, Handicap fills up but they have two garages with handicap... when handicap fills up they are suppose to direct them to the other half of the garage with handicap... maybe it was a bad day? That garage is one area they do need a parking attendant knowing where a spot is open.

I'm not sure if the poor marketing aspect was picked up in this thread of the FL vs HP one, but The Sun in the UK (Not a very reputable paper by any means) has an article about WWoHP...

^HOW wand-erful! These artist's impressions give a glimpse of the amazing Harry Potter theme park due to open next spring.

Is it me or does this give the impression that HP is going to have an entire Theme Park? Someone has dropped the ball on this one.

On the point of 'Dragon Challenge' (it's going to be weird calling it that!) how extensive is the re-work of this? Has it even gone down yet? Is there any concept art?

I was there last week and it is still up and running. It already has a medievil theme, the queue is a castle, and except for the fire and ice references, I doubt it'll take much to retheme it.

Although that means less people infront of us in the queues.

Universal showed an interactive map of the entire land. When 'Dragon Challenge" was zoomed in, you could see that a replica of the stadium for the first task (from the GoF movie) will be built around the coaster. I imagine that there will be some rock and plant work below the coaster, and the coaster vehicles will be changed also. The queue needs minor work.

If they actually build the stadium and put rockwork down there, Uni is getting a huge thumbs up from me.

I will adore Universal if that happens. It'll make the Dragons far less of a bare bones coaster and more of an overall attraction experience. PLEASE let that happen!

Wondering about Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey a bit more recently. Is this going to have an original story that takes place within the same locations and timeline as featured in the books\films, or would we expect more to see particular events from different books\films taking place, pieced together with a story to move you through them?

Can't believe i'm getting this excited already. Haha. Can't wait for the impossibly long queues. Hehe. :)

I'm wondering if I could read all the books in preparation, or if I should or wait till closer to the final movie adaptation for Deathly Hallows. Decisions-decisions.

Read all of the books, so you can better appreciate the shops and special items within them. The movies leave alot out!

Also, Forbidden Journey is an original story, but will feature many places from the books, for example, the Chamber of Secrets.

Yeah well I;ve just started reading so I am into the second and surprised i've enjoyed it so much. Even in the shorter books you can see the differences with the adaptations. Was going to read up to Half Blood prince at the least. Then I'll decide which comes first Deathly Hallows book or films. (Yay I;m a Potter-book-noob!)

Thats what interests me about the ride. If we get to see new events happening in familiar places.

What I find interesting is that they said characters while talking about HPatFJ, yet I thought originally there wasn't going to be any in there.
