Any idea what kind of spinner it is? Dumbo type or something more fun?

I hear that. I won't ride the simulator because it makes me mad that they replaced A ride based on one of my fav movies, and frankly if your not into the simpsons, the ride doesn't hold its on, its like going on the fake rollercaoster simulator in chuck e cheese. but the food, anyone can enjoy a good treat.
BS. I wish people would stop looking at Back to the Future: The Ride with such rose-colored glasses. I like BTTF as much as the next person, and despite being a (classic) Simpsons fan, would have rather had Back to the Future stay, but if you had ridden BTTF:TR in it's final years, you'd know that it was looking extremely outdated. The new ride is smoother, more visually stunning, the movements are more in sync with the movie screen, yet at its core its the same experience. So if you think that The Simpsons Ride is "like a Chuck E Cheese ride", then so was BTTF:TR.

They have little coin op video games or "simulators" that are little more than the seat moving slightly in front of a small arcade screen.

Since when does Chuck E Cheese have rides? Back in my day, it was just arcade games and a Country Bears rip-off...

They've had rides for ages...most were pretty basic up until the last decade though...

And as for that 'Country Bears Ripoff'...I miss the full scale animatronic shows they had. For the past fifteen years they've been installing just a singular Chuck E robot show...and I got news that very soon we will begin to see that animatronic shows phased out in CEC. Heck, one of the test stores in Dallas already has a show without the animatronic!

Swung by today. Bumblebee Man truck and Lard Lad look good--could use a little more theming to busy up the area, but solid additions.

Chief Wiggum and DuffMan statues and 7 Duffs are a huge hit. I really think fiberglass characters was a stroke of brilliance. Effectively a permanent meet & greet without waits for autographs or a Princess Jasmine who looks and sounds like she came straight from Long Island.

Duff Gardens is great, even tho they charge $7.25 for a glorified Yuengling. Tons of seating, get a breeze off the lake, friendly staff.

My one complaint is the ridiculous number of tables, blocking up sight lines to the new store fronts. It ruins the theme AND is completely unnecessary. Beside the extensive seating inside, DG has like a 50-seat and at least two dozen waterfront tables. You don't need that much table space, Universal. If they replaced the outside tables with 4 or 5 more residents of Springfield, would go from an A- to an A+.

just got home- LOVE Springfield! I can only think of ONE minor improvement- some type of shade near the taco truck and Lard Lads. The lines get quite long and hot in the beautiful FL sunshine. My son ate 2 big pinks!!!

Easy no need for hostility.

I just don't like rollercoaster simulators. I think they coulda just built a rollercoaster.

I was there today with Disneyhead for a few hours, loved it! They just nailed from all points and something to remember the project isn't complete.

Actually I'm pretty impressed. I was expecting a lot less effort for some reason (guess I've been going to six flags too long).

I'm curious (Idk if its been stated) where is the duff beer being brewed? or if its a re-label what is it originally?

PS. I actually think I enjoy older simpsons episodes now that I'm viewing them again. Perhaps I was simply too young when they first came out. New ones arent that great though

A local brewery is brewing the Duff beer.
