I guess I am the only one that doesn't want the dragon on top of gringotts? I want the land to be undisturbed so it could be a snapshot of any of the books. Oh, well. I'll still freaking love it.
Theiry Coup confirmed the Dragon. And also said that Gingott's will be a "family friendly" attraction. I would imagine that the height requirement will be 42" or even lower.Any ideas on the height limit they are going for on the Gringott's ride? Are they thinking same height as FJ/Mummy/Spider? 48' or is this more of a big coaster in the 54 range?
Count me in that crowd ... I saw the first three movies and then got bored in the middle of the fourth and gave up on the films, I also never read the books but I do LOVE the John Williams score ... anyway ... that all being said I spend COUNTLESS hours in that land when I am there. I eat it all up ... such an amazing place to hang out, visit, and enjoy attractions.

I highly doubt J.K. would approve of a dragon in the middle of Diagon Alley. Perfect execution of an outdoor dragon AA would no doubt be impressive, but it doesn't work for me and I'm assuming it wouldn't work for JK.
It's consistent with the movie when three characters are riding it and escaping and (most likely) causing terror for the customers in Diagon Alley. In the normal time of the HP universe (when Voldemort does not have complete control), the general public is terrified of dragons and would not even consider entering Diagon Alley if there was a dragon hanging out on top of Gringotts. Why do you doubt JK would approve it? It's consistent with the movie.

Good point. But if I remember correctly (haven't been to WWoHP in over a year), they had some somewhat lame excuse as to why muggles were allowed in to Hogwarts that was buyable. I just don't think a dragon chillin on the top of Gringotts is buyable. In the Harry Potter universe Muggles wouldn't be hanging out in Hogwarts either.

However, I could see why they would do it. It would provide a main focal point for the land, which it lacks without the dragon. Also, non-HP fanatics would normally not be impressed with a bank but if there is a fire-breathing dragon on top, you can bet that they'd be impressed.
Some muggles are allowed to visit. Like the Grangers. The dragon needs to be axed. I don't like the vide it will create for the area at all. I want to visit Diagon ally in the books. The relaxing environment. In the Harry Potter universe Muggles wouldn't be hanging out in Hogwarts either.
