Unexpected room upgrade

So, on my recent trip in December, my family and I were booked for club level at the Boardwalk Inn.

We got upgraded to the Steeplechase Suite. This room normally goes for $2700 a night. We got it for 6 nights. This is by far the most amazing and "magical" thing to ever happen for us at WDW, and will likely stay that way forever.

The room is unbelievable. Three bathrooms, two bedrooms, living room, sitting room, dining room, kitchen, walk in closets, three doors to the outside hall, and not to mention a 100 foot (or so) balcony.

The very first night we passed Cat Cora in the hallway and said hello. :ROFLOL:

I'll never be able to stay in this room again, but I just had to share that moment with some folks who would understand. Honestly, I still don't quite believe it! We've heard of this thing happening before, very rarely, and joked about it happening, but never ever thought it could. Goes to show you never know what can happen. :animwink:

Beautiful! Did you guys get to watch Reflections from your balcony?

No, it is blocked in that room. You can only see the very top of the highest fireworks. You can, however, see Wishes clearly way off in the distance. We saw the perimeters in use, which was really cool.

Pretty impressive and magical. Looks like you received one of those dream giveaways from a few year's ago.

I like when instant Disney magic takes place. It just adds so much more to the overall experience.

What a wonderful surprise! Of course, there are some who would complain that since it lacked a view of the Epcot fireworks, it really wasn't all that great.

Am I understanding this correctly? You had a room booked and when you checked in, they just gave you the upgrade? That's it? You lucky dog! If I got that as an upgrade, I'd have to extend my vacation for a few days, just so that my family could chill in the room. After all, when you think about it, how much time do you really spend in the room when visiting the house of mouse?

I've had upgrades before but nothing like that!

I think you might be in with a chance of winning "Luckiest forum member of 2012" (if such a thing existed).
