The water park by me has 5 rides like that that are longer and blow that out of the water on top of that they all have their own theme, one has a pre show and the other has lighting effects and projections. Typhoon Lagoon needs to step up its game.

Let me guess: you live by Hyland Hills Water World in Colorado? Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, TX? Those are parks that were pretty advanced in their time, but Schlitterbahn lost a lot since they sold their manufacturing division to WhiteWater. "Massiv" at their Galveston park is big, but the design is really dumb for a water coaster. Water World recently went in a new direction and their new surf pool attraction is pretty awesome, but not themed.

Miss Adventure Falls is a lot more technologically advanced than I though. The automatic dispatch system, the spacing on the lift and how Proslide was able to design a perfect slide path with a lot of spinning. Given the length of the ride, I am happy to see only one speed reducer was added. "Speed reducer" are the equivalent of brakes on a water slide and you have two ways to slow things down: rubber mats or bumps, as seen on Omaka Rocka at Aquatica (those were added by the park before opening for some reasons) or as seen on this slide, just adding a ton of water to the flume. After the initial enclosed helix, notice the huge number of water jets that add water to the flume.

You can see in this slide where they had to design in a few slowdown sections due to the sheer length of the slide.

The slide is really 1.5 minutes long and was until 2010 the longest water slide in the world by flume length. Its 1900 feet long and built on the side of a hill! It is almost like 3 standard tube slides put together and between sections, they add water to the flume to bring the tubes back down to a manageable speed.

Wow Megatobogan is super long! Pretty cool.

This ride looks like a decent addition to Typhoon...but to whoever talked about Disney going above and beyond by putting 'precious cargo' on the rafts just makes me laugh. Have you seen the 'boats' being used for the water Coaster at Volcano Bay? Now that's theming done right.

I know I know, they're two different companies giving us different waterpark experiences...and while MissAdventure Falls is a good addition to Typhoon, people slamming Volcano Bay are either super hardcore Disneyphiles who just can't ever let Universal have their moment, or are just not willing to wait to try the park for themselves. I happen to be a serious waterpark aficionado....and been to some of the biggest and best across the country. While I love the Disney waterparks, they could seriously learn a lesson or two from parks like Schlitterbahn, Water World, Splish Splash, Noah's Ark, or Splashin' Safari.

I've never been on this but I think a simple waterproof camera seems to have captured it pretty well.

I'm not sure it's appropriate to compare a water coaster to a family raft ride with no height requirement. That's more like crush n gusher. Which if we're going to compare.. Yeah this one wins.

Wasn't comparing. Just showing that a camera can film what is fun about a waterslide.
