I personally feel that Disney would be pretty stupid to not figure out some way to still have the lights each season. Lots and lots of people plan their WDW trips around the display.

She won't miss anything if she doesn't see it. That thing is a turd in film form. I particularly liked the blatant Star Wars action sequence rip-offs. (Yes, I know it was made by Lucas. It's still terrible.)
