Two questions about Disney for you all.

I am curious on these two questions.

1) When you think about Disney, do you get emotional?

I love Disney, I can't get enough. I'd live there if I could. I know that when I am older ( I am 17 ) I am going to save for a full two week vacation and do EVERYTHING.

2) What song(s) get you the most worked up at Disney?

For me, I think the whole ride of Spaceship Earth gets to me. It is very dramatic, and it really does bring a tear to my eye every once in awhile. I absolutely love it.

To answer your questions

1. Yeah like most l get very excited inside,Disney to me is a reminder of many childhood memories that l spent there as a kid with few family members who are no longer with us,and like everyone else who grew up on disney it's hard not to have any emotional attactment to the parks. It's like once you either enter the entrance to the monorail or ferry you know that your going to be transported to a whole new magical world away from the pressures of everyday life, the current news events and for a brief time return to the sweet simple carefree innocence of youth no matter your age you'll always be a kid.

2. Oh do l have to pick one, heck every movies l saw has at least one song that l like, every attraction has music thats unique to itself from the gloomy organ and grim grinning ghosts of the haunted mansion,to the music of the parades. My cell phone rings "zip pa dee doo da" as its ringtone and i'm reminded of disney everytime it rings. I Love Disney Music.

I've always gotten emotional when I think of Disney. Now even more so, we took our daughter there last year for the first time, she was 10 months old at the time and when I was holding her as we were watching WISHES, the emotion just poured out of me. I couldn't believe I was there with my DAUGHTER. She has been there twice already and we will be celebrating her 2nd Birthday there in May. So to answer your second question...WISHES and off course all the commercials I see get me worked up.

It's funny, they came out with a particular commercial for MAgical Gatherings, it was the one where the son called his father to say he is a grandfather and the grandfather asked what is his grandson's son name and the son responds MAGGIE. Prior to seeing that commercial we decided that if it was a girl we would name her Maggie after her grandmother and then we saw the commercial...I cried.

Ido Guidoti's score on Spaceship Earth is my favorite of all the Disney attractions. To me the Score is what makes the ride, it really adds the emotion into it. Specially the last track as you come down backwards at the end with the model of the city and fiber optics. My other favorite is the track in the OmniSphere theater on Horizons:

"Colonies in space. Habitats where people live and work. This is no distant dream, we're at the threshold now......Here's a new kind of cityscape - the microprocessor. An entire computer on a tiny silicon chip. Crystals. Inspired by nature, now engineered by man for an ever growing role in micro-electronics......"

The memories that brings back just thinking of it.

Yeah, that one gets me too sometimes. Also the Reflections of Earth music. Actually, pretty much all of the Millineum Celebration music was great! The old Pre-Illuminations music was a lot of fun. The old New Tomorrowland music was so beautiful...I hate that they changed it. And, of course, Grim Grinning Ghosts, Pirate's Life for Me, and There's a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow are classics...it's just not Disney without them! The now extinct original Imagination theme sometimes pains me to listen to because of sentimental value. And one that people don't usually mention is the Universe of Energy theme song...I LOVE that song!
I'm sure there's lots more...I love the music of Disney World! It's what makes it such a great place!

*doh!* I completely forgot SpectroMagic...your post reminded me, Mark! :hammer: Hearing that makes me want to cry everytime because it reminds me of leaving MK on the last night of our trips. That music marks the end of the day that you never want to end.

Oh awesome I was going to say that same theme! :D I have the 5-CD Disney Classic set and it has the Fantasmic theme. Everytime I hear it, I get worked up and I think about how much I miss WDW. Other Disney music just gets me emotional, but the Fantasmic theme actually correlates with my love for WDW .

When I make the reservations (I always do them for the family), I get as excited as a 5-year old :sohappy:. When we get there, we have this happiness buried inside that busts out when we are on the tram or monorail heading to the parks. When I see commercials now anticipating a future trip, I feel homesick and want to go back badly :(. Anyway, hopefully the trip will be soon.

The theme to Fantasmic is amazing, the whole Illuminations theme is amazing, Spectormagic music is amazing. To me, Wishes is the weakest, however, it is still amazing. Wishes gets bonus points though because it features my all time favorite Disney song, "When You Wish Upon a Star!"

1. I get very emotional when thinking or speaking of disney. To the point of almost crying (like my voice gets choked and my eyes water). WDW is such a special and magical place. It seems to have gotten worse since I was a cp (that's 7 wonderful months of memories!).

2. I don't think I could list just one song. There are many that have that effect. Mostly the park music (background loops, fireworks/show music, parade music, etc.). I guess the main ones that come to mind are Wishes, Illuminations, SADCT, Spectromagic, fantasmic, the Epcot entrance loop, the splash mountain area music (where I worked), ... I really could go on...

1. NO DOUBT, I can sum it up with this.... when sleeping at a Disney hotel and I wake up in the middle of the night, it takes me a moment to realize where I am but when I do I get an unexplainable sense of "well being"- I am at my favorite place on earth. When I wake up at home it's more like-how many more hours til I have to get up-never enough.

2. Pretty much anywhere in Future World and many random places in MK. I love the futuristic upbeat music in FW!

It often worries me how excited and emotional I get about Disney, I guess that's what makes it Magical, it makes me feel so warm when i'm there, and so damn depressed when I'm sat at my desk at work in the UK..in the snow!

Most worked up? it's not quite a song, but Illuminations: reflections of earth gets me going Everytime!

that and the burger king christmas song "ding fries are done"
ok so that'll make no sense, It's sort of a long running private joke between me, my partner, christmas and Epcot
I've never been to Walt Disney World when it's not been Christmas...I've never seen Epcot without a tree
...it's creepy without.

I get emotional when I get to Ocala. At that point I feel like "it's really gonna happen"
Some songs do get me pumped up for WDW:
Be Our Guest
theme from Main Street Electrical Parade
Spectromagic music
Zippadeedooda
A whole new world -those are just some

I love the song from CoP and IASW because to me they will always mean Disney . If you've ever seen me at any fireworks show (esp Wishes) I have this goofy grin on my face... :D Of course it turns to :( when we leave to come home.
