Two Disk Planning DVD?!

To me, the most exciting thing about this planning DVD was that it gave a lot of the same feelings as the Resort TV does. Granted the Resort TV evokes mixed emotions...Krissa is hot but relatively annoying...anyway, this DVD has a lot of the background music and even some of the same clips as the Resort TV does. Also, the spontaneous format gives the same feel as the Resort TV and makes it more interesting and exciting, in my opinion!

It was definitely a departure from the usual Vacation Planning Video, but a welcome one in my book!

Now to settle on a date for the next trip to try to catch the "Happiest..." festivities!!

Peace out...

We got our DVD in the mail yesterday...My wife and Iw atched watched it for almost 3 hours, checking out all the features. We haven't been since June 2003, and are going in June this year. So, a lot of changes for us to experience....I can't wait...counting the days!

Got mine!

I received my DVD package last week.

It is the best produced DVD that they have had in a while. My kids love it because it has more of a "story" than the other DVD's have had. (the mom, lazy guy, wild guy all have different experiences at each park). They are really pushing the resorts and large groups for the Disney Celebration.

The CD-ROM that comes with it (not another DVD) is basically a flash version of the Disney website. It is good but there a lot of links to the website.

I got mine a couple of days ago, and I absolutely love it! It is very detailed and well-done. The only thing I regret is that they didn't talk about SSE at all. Well, they missed out on a few other rides but whatever. The "thrills" guy also got on my nerves after a while

I expected it to be much worse. I actualy enjoyed it. It was very informative and I love the line "Why do Dinosaurs always die running?" I think that it was longer than the ones in the past. It skiped a few attractons that I enjoy like SSE and Malestorm but it was still cool. The thrill ride teen was kind of stereotyping cali-surfers but was funny. I enjoyed the little trivia game in the special features as well.

We just got ours today, and I think we ordered it less than 2 weeks ago. If you have been waiting since Dec, you might want to re-order it.

Wow. I can't beleive you people actually enjoyed it.

I thought the visual style was great, but the content was horrible especially if someone who's never been to Disney World was watching it. First of all, Erin is no Kryssa. She seemed very phony and not into it at all. Stacy was barely there. I found it awkward that she was "the mom" but was never seen with her own kids. Luke was bearable, but I can't believe they didn't edit out all the times he said "hurl."

There should have been more attractions featured (instead of the new ones that aren't even really finished yet) if they would've cut out all the annoying bits with the guy who likes to sit on benches. Benches? Come on. I know the benches are great and themed and everything, but it should've been maybe mentioned once. Not multiple times.

I loved, loved, loved that there was a segment for each resort, but I hate that they were so short and unimaginative.

Hm, you have good points, but there's some I have to disagree with. Erin was way more watcheable than Kryssa. Kryssa is cool, but I just enjoyed Erin better..Kryssa was way too perky. With Stacy, I don't think they set her out to be a "mom" per se, but a mom "expert" in the sense that she's up to speed on what kids would love at WDW. I've worked with kids as a substitute teacher and have little cousins that I have been to WDW with...I could have done what she did but I'm not a mom. A lot of us around here could have played the part and we're no mothers. It just mattered if you were well aware of what kids would like

I definitely agree on the Luke issue, and the fact that not all highlight attractions were included.

I completely agree with you. This video is not as good as the others in getting new guests to actually want to visit the resort in my opinion. Of course I hate the Kryssa Top 7 Attractions program with a passion as well. Not because they are new, but because I feel they are downgrades.....well BIG downgrades over their previous shows (Zip A Dee Do Dah and the old Planning Guides).

I have to disagree with you on a few points here. I think they showed plenty of attractions, especially quite a few that haven't been shown in past videos (One example that comes to mind is Figment.) It would be next to impossible to show every single one in that kind of video because it would take entirely too long, so I think that the rides they chose to show highlighted a little bit of something for everybody.

Oh, and basically the only ride that they showed that wasn't "completed" was EE. All of the other rides will be open in about 3 months or less, so I don't think that that make much of a difference. Most of the people who Disney is focusing this video on won't be going in those three months anyway. And I think that showing EE was a great idea on behalf of Disney because that gets people thinking that "ooh, I want to see that ride, so not only am I planning this trip, but I guess I'll have to plan a trip for when that's open too." It gets them thinking about coming again. (Remember people, Disney IS a business.)

Now I know a lot of people have a problem with the bench guy. I think I am about the only person who wasn't annoyed by this. To me it really brought home the idea that you should relax while you are at Disney. It let people know that you should take life slow, instead of rushing around like crazy to get to every single ride. We all know that riding everything in one day is next to impossible. And yes while that time could have been used to show other things, his main purpose was to show the other side of Disney, which I believe he did when talking about Downtown Disney, the water parks and especially all of the other recreational things you can do when visiting "The World."

I do have to agree with you on the resort segment though. I thought they could have done a lot more with that. But then again, they never do a whole heck of a lot with the resort segment anyway.

Just so you know, not everybody thinks it's no good. A lot of people on here, not including myself actually think that the video is pretty good. It's all just a matter of opinion.

I loved it.Me and my brothers have watched it a million times.Luke is my favorite guy (am I supposed to assume "hurl" is a curse word nickcarraway?)The bench guy (Dave)should have got most of his bench scenes cut.omg, they were soooo annoying.Erin was sometimes cheesy, but very entertaining.:) I havent seen but one of the older ones, but if "kryssa" was way more perky than erin that would be scary.I personally think Erin is incredibaly perky enough.

I don't think nick thought it was a curse word. It's just that Luke kept using the word.

I personally found him extremely annoying, and so did my 16 year old brother and 15 year old sister, who Luke is supposedly reaching out to. Too many "sweet!" for my personal liking.

Not picking on you, because that's great that you enjoyed it...just telling you my opinion too

When I first saw Luke, my immediate thought was "Oh my gosh, he must have taken Annoying Guest 101!" I'm glad I haven't run into a guest quite like that, but I'm afraid it's only a matter of time. Erin reminded me of one of my managers, though.
