I got it, I can tolerate the hosts, I'm dissapointed at their Figment coverage, using mostly ImageWorks Footage with like two shots of the ride itself and both being in the loading area/queue.

I have the planning videos from 2003 to 2005. While the latest is an improvement over 2004, 2003 is still my favorite. The menu music was a little more Disney. I loved that song. If anyone knows where I can get it or what it's called, I'd very much appreciate it.

I really enjoyed the Disneyland video in special features. The main video was good, but a lot of it was unecessary fluff and the stuff that you wanted to see goes by quick and choppy. I did enjoy the new footage though, and was happy to see Everest. I noticed that they said that Walt Disney World would be getting an attraction for each park from around the world, yet they failed to mention Lucky the Dinosaur once throughout the video. I was very surprised by the time they spent in World Showcase. Out of the four "hosts", only one was truly necessary, and that was the main girl. On the bright side, you can tell Disney put some time into the making of this one.

the new dvd

OK here is the low down I am a teenager and of course I love thrills and stufff but they make this video like you are going to six flags or somthing. The other dvds (especally 2003) are much more disney magical and make you feel like you are really going to a whole new world (maybe the advertising was a little false) but atleast it had magic to it. The only thing I didn't like about the old one was the marketing towards familys with small children. All that being said it seems very contemporary and isn't bad if you are just looking for info.

I actually think that the way they made this video was creative. They actually made taking a trip seem exciting...which is something that I think is lacking in all of the other videos. The hosts really weren't that annoying (even the surfer guy, who I thought would get on my nerves when I first saw him) and thought that even though there really only needed to be one host, it was nice to have the diversity of 4 different people. With only one person hosting, the videos in the past became boring and a little mundane. And like I said in a previous post, I think that it was great that they were able to add all of the new footage b/c I was so sick of seeing the same stock footage that they have been using year after year and the DVD seemed to show a lot more info about all of the parks, not just the rides that everyone goes on. So in all, I totally think that this new video is a success.

I thought the dvd was excellent compared to the last couple years. It was interesting but the characters could have used some fine tuning. The special feature where great especially the video's of the hotels. The video seem to cover everything including expedition Everest, Soarin', and Lights Motors Action. The only thing I didn't see was slush gusher.
Eisner must want our money real bad this year :drevil: !

I went through almost the whole quiz, except for portions of the Kids one. The problem is that the questions always stay the same. I wish they would sell a full version at WDW with many more questions and a few additional categories and a ACTUAL scoring system!

I already ordered mine as well. I ordered one last year too but never received it. When you answer how many times you have been to WDW, does that effect if you receive one or not? The reason I'm asking is that I have been over 20 times and listed that when I ordered on the form, but still have not received. Do they only send one to people who list that they go to WDW less frequently? Does this make sense, that they are trying to save money by sending one to people who have never been or have not been for a while, as opposed to people who go all the time.

I just got mine the other day and I really like it. I like that there are hosts and it's actually footage of them in the parks. There's not just gussied up images from DL and WDW. I really like it a lot. That activities guy is funny too.

For those of you who have already gotten your package, did you get the DVD that you asked for or did they send a VHS tape?

I thought the new video was way better than the last few years. I like the four host thing so it is not so repetative. Oh and Erin is HOT. I like how you get to see a little bit of everything. A better job this time promoting the water parks and Downtown Disney. Didn't really tell you a whole lot about Stitch's Great Escape though. I saw some things I didn't realize was there, like the kid stops in Epcot. Looking forward to going in March.

Did anyone see the commercials during the Christmas Parade? Apparently the Planning DVD for 2005 is a 2 Disk set. Who's gonna order that sucker right when it comes up online? I sure am!

Maybe that's because this ride is rumored to be rehabbed within the year or so. Or maybe it's just because they know the ride is a bit of a stinker so they don't want to include too much about it.

Rumor has it the rehabbing has already begun. From Mouseplanet:
…We're getting word that the long-expected refurbishment of Stitch's Great Escape is now underway. We're hoping that the infusion of cash into the attraction brings it closer to the original vision for Alien Encounter's replacement.

Wow...I didn't know they had already started that! Well, at least they are getting right on it. Is there any word on what they are going to do to enhance it?
