Two coasts: One very different world

The “new” straw that you get may indeed be a reused straw. You’ve touched upon an important aspect of this problem. Plastic cutlery and straws do not readily deteriorate. Once thrown into a landfill, they may persist for millions of years. Both polypropylene and polystyrene are thermo-stable and non biodegradable.

As concerns the health department allowing any business to reuse plastic cutlery, Qantas Airways is known to have reused plastic cutlery for several years. A number of fast food companies reuse plastic utensils as well. Due to irrational and unfounded concern about this issue, most companies (including Disney) do not publicly acknowledge reuse of plastic items.

The same properties that make polypropylene and polystyrene so resistant to natural degradation also make them perfect candidates for reuse. They can tolerate high heat and be run through commercial autoclaves. I know some people that bend or break all plastic utensils after use to prevent reuse. You might consider this option.

Really, child? Are you that dense?

someone needs better parental supervision...

Maybe you should email Jenn Fickley ... or Blondie as I call her ... she loves fanbois with questions and I am sure she would help ... or Thomas Smith or Gary Buchanan (just watch out for him if he hasn't taken his meds ... very un-Disney things can pop out of that mouth!)

OK, so we all like Big Bang Theory ... what a shock on a Disney fan site.

Now, how many of you like Raising Hope? How about the Middle? Modern Family?

As a good Disney fan, I like all shows shown on channels owned by The Walt Disney Company. ;)

So you watch everything from Wipeout and The Chew on ABC ... to SportsCenter (all 11 times a day) on ESPN ... to that Diary of an American Teenager on ABC Family ... to whatever crap is on Disney Channel now?

I watch Modern Family but I prefer The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad. IMO

Love Modern Family myself. It is a phenomenally well crafted show from the writing to the acting to the directing etc.

Love Walking Dead too (coming to UNI's HHN's this fall!), although it is often depressing (because it is so well written and not just a zombie-thon).

I want to see Breaking Bad, but since I wasn't clued into how good it was until midway through Season 2, I'm waiting until it is all over and then buying a set of the whole series.

Oh, and to keep this semi-on topic ... when Modern Family decided to do a vacation show, they went to DL (it was filmed on 2/29) NOT WDW. And they also have done shows in Hawaii and Wyoming, so travel costs weren't a factor in where they went!

I know you kid, but outside of the Theme Parks I could care less who's channel it is. I am a Disney Parks fan, not really into the all things Disney drum beating.

That's fine. I almost respect that view more than folks who will shill anything that has the Disney BRAND on it.

But as someone who works in media, I am very interested in who owns what and how they run their various networks.

Oh, and Iger has screwed up ABC in many ways as much as P&R, although I will give some props for the network taking chances, something that say ... CBS ... never does.

The show quality means way more to me than brand loyalty.

Isn't that kind of the way all consumerism is now?

It was somewhat depressing through season 1 but as the series continued it became more dramatic then depressing IMO

I was in the same position but luckily AMC had a catch up marathon between seasons so I just set my DVR and a couple weeks later I was caught up.

Lol to the last paragraph.
