Molto bene...

I was wondering if a plate of fettuccine alfredo would survive to the menu of this temporary restaurant... I guess not...

Umm, yes, the menu is doable for a temporary location, and in that regard I have no problem with it.... but I sure hope that when the place is renovated and renamed and retooled for real next year, the menu is a bit more inspired...

I agree with ya there. It works for now... but I will probally still stick with Le Cellier, and the new place in Japan, until the perm solution is in place for Italy.

I stopped by Epcot yesterday and saw that Tutto was open. It was refreshing to see a Disney restaurant with walk ups available. It was too new for all the dining plan people to snatch up all the seats.

that sucks and they call themselves Italian chefs

theirs got to be fetticinie alfredo and to think disney is going to put up with this crap. i was going to go but if they dont change the menu. then this is the same stuff you can find in a supermarket deli which you usually can find. since i know i work at a albertsons grocery store.

below is very easy to make and its simply delicious no matter what day or night.

Introduction

This rich dish probably shouldn't be a daily indulgence, but you might be surprised at how easy it is to make. Because the dish is so simple, it's important to use good-quality ingredients. Serves 6 people.
Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Things You'll Need

Steps

1
Step One

Bring 3 to 4 quarts of water, the olive oil and the salt to a rapid boil in a large pot. Add the pasta to pan and stir to distribute the noodles.

2
Step Two

Boil the pasta for the slightly less time than the recommended length of time on the package. When the pasta is cooked, drain and rinse under hot water.

3
Step Three

Add the butter, cream, Parmesan and white pepper to a large skillet. Bring to a boil while constantly stirring over medium-high heat.

4
Step Four

Cook the cream mixture until it reduces slightly in volume. Add the pasta to the pan and stir to coat the noodles.

5
Step Five

Remove from the heat and add the lemon juice. Stir and taste for seasoning.

6
Step Six

Add salt if preferred and serve immediately.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure you use a decent Parmesan for this dish: real Parmigiano Reggiano is ideal, although it's expensive. Don't use a grated variety; these are usually dried-out and inferior in taste.

Don't get all upset just yet. Tutto Italia is being operated by Patina, I don't think they are claiming to be Italian chefs. This is only a temporary menu until the new restaurant opens in late 2008.

Also, keep in mind that Fettuccine Alfredo was THE signature dish of the prior tenant (heck, Alfredo's invented it). It's possible that the absence of Fettuccine Alfredo is one way that Tutto Italia is trying to distance itself from the previous occupant.

One question I have about the new restaurant: do they still make their own pasta?

Let me first say that I'm not an expert on Italian food. But, when I was looking at the menu I thought I saw a pasta dish that used an Alfredo sauce (or maybe it was another cheese sauce) but wasn't fettucine Alfredo. It had peas and pancetta in it, I think it was the Bucattini Pasta. I thought it sounded fantastic. :slurp:

Bring your wallet ... the new Tutto is incredibly expensive.

Absolutely true!!! This is head and shoulders pricewise above anything that I have seen in Disney outside of a Signature restaurant. Any thoughts on if their prices will be brought more inline with the rest of the higher end WS places such as Chef De France? Belle

I know some might disagree but I really hate that they don't have an alfredo dish. I'm a pretty picky eater so just good ol fresh pasta and alfredo sauce was a must for me. Hopefully they will make an addition of this classic in the future before I go back. :slurp:

I agree that it seems expensive, however I am afraid that they might set the standard for what the other restaurants will charge in the future! It will be interesting to see what happens pricewise at the Japan restaurants when they reopen.

Same here, that's my stand by if a restaurant doesn't have anything else I'd like =\

Let us hope this is NOT the way of the future at the WS restaurants!!! Belle
